Related Research Articles

Weightlifting is one of the sports at the quadrennial Commonwealth Games competition. It has been a Commonwealth Games sport since 1950. It is a core sport and must be included in the sporting programme of each edition of the Games.

Sarah Davies is a British weightlifter, competing in the 64 kg and 69 kg categories internationally and representing England and Great Britain at international competitions. She won the silver medal in the women's 71 kg event at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Weightlifting at the 2022 Commonwealth Games</span>

Weightlifting was one of the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, held in Birmingham, England. This was the nineteenth staging of weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games since its inclusion in 1950, and the second staging within England specifically.

The Men's 55 kg weightlifting event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games took place at the National Exhibition Centre on 30 July 2022. The weightlifter from Malaysia won the gold, with a combined lift of 249 kg.
