Ilya Aleksandrovich Ilyin is a retired Kazakhstani weightlifter who won four world championships. On 12 December, 2015 at the President's Cup in Grozny, Russia, Ilyin set two world records in the −105 kg class. He lifted 246 kg in the clean and jerk and 437 kg in the total. Ilyin was named IWF World Weightlifter of the Year four times: in 2005, 2006, 2014, and 2015.

Saeid Alihosseini is a former Iranian super heavyweight weightlifter. He failed two doping tests in 2006 and October 2009; the latter was originally a lifetime ban, but was reduced upon first appeal to 12 years; in 2011, the ban was reduced to eight years.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Karyn Marshall</span> American weightlifter (born 1956)

Karyn Marshall is an American Olympic weightlifter who won the first women's world championship in weightlifting, held in 1987. She also set 60 American and world records in women's weightlifting and in 1985 became the first woman in history to clean and jerk over 300 lb (136 kg), which she did with a lift of 303 pounds (137 kg). She became a chiropractor and runs a private practice in Shrewsbury, New Jersey while battling breast cancer since 2011. In 2011, Marshall was inducted into the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame, and she was inducted into the International Weightlifting Hall of Fame in 2015.

Lasha Talakhadze is a Georgian weightlifter, holding the all-time world records regardless of weight category in the snatch, the clean and jerk, and the total since 2021.

Martha Ann "Mattie" Rogers is an American Olympic weightlifter. She is a four-time silver medalist at the World Weightlifting Championships. She holds the United States record in the snatch, clean & jerk, and total in the 76 kg category. She competed for the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the 87 kg category.

Laurel Hubbard is a New Zealand weightlifter. Selected to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics, she was the first openly transgender woman to compete in the Olympic Games. Prior to making her Olympic debut, Hubbard achieved a ranking of 7th in the IWF's women's +87 kg division.

Boady Santavy is a Canadian weightlifter from Sarnia, Ontario.

Clarence Cummings Jr. is an American weightlifter. He is a two-time Youth Pan-American champion, Junior Pan-American champion, two-time Pan-American Champion, two-time IWF Youth World champion, and four-time IWF Junior World champion. CJ has earned 38 international medals, broken four International Weightlifting Federation Youth and Junior world records, and currently holds 23 USA Weightlifting American records.

The Pan American Weightlifting Championships is the continental weightlifting championships for nations from North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean organised by Pan American Weightlifting Federation (PAWF).

Lesman Paredes Montano is a Colombian born Bahraini weightlifter who won a Gold medal at the 2021 World Championships. He represents Bahrain since July 2022. He also won the gold medal in the men's 96 kg event at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships held in Bogotá, Colombia.
