The Laser Radial or ILCA 6 is a popular one-design class of small sailing dinghy, originally built by Laser Performance. It is a singlehanded boat, meaning that it is sailed by one person. The Laser Radial is a variant of the Laser Standard, with shorter mast and reduced sail area, allowing light sailors to sail in heavy winds. The International Class is recognised by World Sailing.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mistral One Design</span>

The Mistral One Design Class (MOD) is a one-design windsurfing class chosen by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) for use at the Olympic regatta in Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. Starting with the 2008 Summer Olympics it was replaced by the RS:X class, which will be replaced by the iQFoil class for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">RS:X</span> Windsurfing class

RS:X is a windsurfing class selected by the ISAF to replace the Mistral One Design Class for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The discipline has similarities to Formula Windsurfing - mainly in that the equipment used was designed to allow windsurfing in low and moderate wind conditions with good performance.

The Windsurfing World Championships is an international sailing competition organized by World Sailing held since 1980, now annually.

The ISAF Youth Sailing World Championships was first held in Sweden in 1971 and it has been held every year since. It is one of the key events of the federation to help promote top-level youth participation.

The RS:X windsurfing class have two World Championship events the RS:X World Championships and the RS:X Youth World Championships these are annual international sailing regatta, organized by the host club on behalf of the International RS:X Class Association and recognized by World Sailing, the sports IOC recognized governing body. In addition the RS:X was used Youth Sailing World Championships which is run entirely by World Sailing this unlike the class youth world championship is limited to one competitor per country.

The Men's RS:X class at the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships was held in Perth, Western Australia between 12 and 18 December 2011.

Paweł Aleksander Maria Tarnowski is a Polish sailor, son of Jacek Tarnowski, and Monika Wanicka. Tarnowski already competed at the top-level when he was a teenager, becoming a multiple medal winner in Junior World Championships. In 2011 and 2012, he won a gold medal at the RS:X Junior World Championships, and he won medals in European Champion. In first he started in classes Techno 293 Class and at present RS:X, (including in a category age under 17 and under 21 years of age.
He is sometimes seen as a model in commercials, including polish company Atlas or on the cover of album Superheroes : Chapter One - Courage of the band Synthphonia.

The RS:X European Championships are international sailing regattas in the RS:X class.

Katia Belabbas is an Algerian windsurfer who competes in the RS:X class. She competed for Algeria at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Mateo Sanz Lanz is a Spanish-born Swiss windsurfer. He competed for Switzerland at the 2016 Summer Olympics, placing 14th in the men's RS:X event, and at the 2020 Summer Olympics, placing 8th in the men's RS:X event. Sanz Lanz placed 2nd in the men's event at the 2017 RS:X World Championships. He was born in Formentera del Segura and resides in San Francisco Javier, Formentera, Balearic Islands.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Bautista Saubidet Birkner</span> Argentine windsurfer

Bautista Saubidet Birkner is an Argentine sailor. He participated in the men's RS:X event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won the Pan American gold medal in the RS:X event at the 2019 Lima. He is 3 times South American Champion and Youth European Champion.
