Home and Away (H&A) is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area. The soap opera was initially going to be called Refuge, but the name was changed to the "friendlier" title of Home and Away once production began.

It was created in honour of Graham Kennedy following his death in 2005. The award was first presented at the 48th Annual TV Week Logie Awards, held in 2006 when it was originally called Most Outstanding New Talent. It was given to honour an outstanding performance of a new talent on an Australian program. It may or may not be their first television appearance, however it is their first major television role. The winner and nominees of this award was chosen by television industry juries. It was last presented in 2017.

Stephen Peacocke is an Australian actor, who appeared in theatre productions and portrayed minor roles in television dramas and films, including Suburban Mayhem and All Saints. Peacocke rose to prominence for his portrayal as Darryl Braxton on the television soap opera Home and Away, (2011–2016). For his role he won the Logie Award for Most Popular Actor on two occasions and is regarded as one of the show's most popular characters.

<i>Please Like Me</i> Australian comedy television series

Please Like Me is an Australian comedy-drama television series created by and starring Josh Thomas. Thomas also serves as a writer for most episodes. The series premiered on 28 February 2013 on ABC2 in Australia and is on occasion available on Netflix in certain regions. The show explores realistic issues with humorous tones; executive producer Todd Abbott had pitched the show as a drama rather than a sitcom. The show aired later on the United States network Pivot, which then helped to develop the show from its second season onwards. Four seasons of the show have been broadcast, and creator Thomas has stated that he has no plans to make any further episodes. The show has attracted praise from critics and has garnered numerous nominations, winning a number of awards.

<i>Wentworth</i> season 2 Season of television series

The second season of the crime drama television series "Wentworth" premiered on May 20, 2014, on the Australian network SoHo. The season consisted of 12 episodes and was executive produced by Fremantle Media's drama director, Jo Porter. The storyline continued three months after Bea Smith's actions in the previous season, including the murder of Jacs Holt and the rise of Franky Doyle as the top dog among the inmates. The introduction of a new governor, Joan Ferguson, brought further complexity to the season's events. The season gained several nominations and awards.

It was first awarded at the 58th Annual TV Week Logie Awards in 2016 and is given to recognise the outstanding performance of supporting actresses in an Australian program. The winner and nominees of this award are chosen by television industry juries. Celia Ireland was the first winner for her role in Wentworth.

The 62nd Annual TV Week Logie Awards ceremony was held on 19 June 2022 at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Queensland and broadcast live on the Nine Network. It is the first ceremony to be held since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Public voting for the Most Popular Award categories ran from 15 May through to the day of the ceremony. The ceremony was criticised for their tribute to Neighbours, which was described as an "insult to the cast and crew" online.
