This is a list of awards and nominations received by Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tems. Considered one of the most critically acclaimed African artists, Tems was honored with the Prize for Music at The Future Awards Africa and the Impact Award at the BMI London Awards in recognition of her "ground-breaking artistry, creative vision and impact on the future of music". In 2020, Tems released her debut EP For Broken Ears , promoted by the single "Damages". The EP was nominated for awards at the All Africa Music Awards and The Beatz Awards. Her collaboration on Wizkid's "Essence", received critical acclaim, it was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance. The song also won severals awards at the BET Awards, NAACP Image Awards, The Headies Awards and at the Soul Train Music Awards.
In 2021, Tems released her second EP If Orange Was a Place , which won The Headies Award for Best R&B Album. She was featured on Future's "Wait for U" with alongside Drake, which received nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song and won the Best Melodic Rap Performance, an American Music Awards and a BET Hip Hop Awards. In 2022 Tems contributed to Beyoncé's seventh studio album Renaissance on the track "Move" alongside Grace Jones, receiving nominations at the NAACP Image Awards and Soul Train Music Awards.
Tems worked with Ludwig Göransson, Ryan Coogler and Rihanna to score Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Soundtrack, co-writing "Lift Me Up", the film's original song performed by Rihanna. The song was nominated at the Academy Award for Best Original Song, earning the same nominations at the Golden Globe Awards, Critics' Choice Awards and Satellite Awards. It also received a nomination at the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. She also performed "No Woman No Cry" for the soundtrack, receiving the nominations at the All Africa Music Awards and NAACP Image Awards.
In March 2024, Tems became the first African singer to be awarded a Billboard Women in Music Award in which she received under the Breakthrough category. [2] [3]

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born in the Ojuelegba suburb of Surulere, Lagos, Wizkid is a voice in the emerging Afrobeats movement. His music is a blend of Afrobeats, afropop, R&B, afrobeat, reggae, dancehall, and pop. He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. In 2009, Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E). He rose to the limelight after releasing "Holla at Your Boy", the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also spawned the singles "Tease Me/Bad Guys" and "Don't Dull".
Niniola Apata, known professionally as Niniola, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She participated in the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013 After releasing her debut single "Ibadi", she was nominated for Most Promising Act to Watch at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, popularly known by his stage name Chike, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actor. He gained prominence by participating in the Nigerian reality competition Project Fame West Africa. Additionally, he showcased his talents on The Voice Nigeria, where he achieved the second position during Season 1. Chike ventured into acting by making his debut as Mayowa Badmus on the Africa Magic Showcase telenovela Battleground. He also appeared in the production Gang of Lagos, portraying the character Ify.
Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper. He gained recognition with his 2019 song "Dumebi". That same year, he signed with D'Prince's record label, Jonzing World. He achieved international recognition with his 2022 single "Calm Down", which spawned a remix with American singer Selena Gomez that peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also led Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart for a record-setting 58 weeks.
Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She rose to prominence after being featured on Wizkid's 2020 single "Essence", which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart following the release of the remix version with Justin Bieber. The song earned her a Grammy Award nomination. That same year, she was featured on the song "Fountains" by Canadian rapper Drake.
Made in Lagos is the fourth studio album by Nigerian singer Wizkid. It was released on 30 October 2020 by Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records. The album features guest appearances from Burna Boy, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Tay Iwar, Projexx, Tems, Damian Marley, Terri and was executive produced by P2J. The deluxe edition was released on 27 August 2021. It features additional guest appearances from Buju and Justin Bieber. In support of the album, Wizkid embarked on the Made in Lagos Tour (2021–2022). The album received a nomination at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Global Music Album.

Austin Iornongu Iwar Jnr, known professionally as Tay Iwar, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, composer, sound engineer and record producer known for his vibrant blend of R&B and Afro-fusion, drawing upon classic Afrobeat, hip-hop, and future sounds. Tay Iwar’s career can often feel longer than it’s been. He was only in his teens when he released his first full-length projects, including 2016's Renascentia. He then rose to wider fame with 2019's Gemini, released with LA-based music collective Soulection.
Daniel Etiese Benson, known professionally as Bnxn and formerly known as Buju, is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and record producer.
