Citybuses in Greater Bangkok are served by a state-owned citybus operator Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) and private operators sub-contracted by either BMTA or Department of Land Transport. [1] [2] Since the beginning of its operation, BMTA acted as the bangkok bus lines concessions owners. Private operators operated as a sub-contracted, They may run on the same routes as BMTA buses; Example: orange minibuses, cream-blue (or pink) 12 metre buses. These buses have the BMTA symbol on them, mostly seen below the driver's side window. These often follow slightly different route from the main big BMTA-bus or do not run along the whole route. However, these may cause a lot of problems such as reckless driving rushing between two buses from different lines that may serve on the same section of the road, subpar buses quality, and so on. Since 2017, [3] [4] Department of Land Transport introduced the bangkok citybus reform plan aiming to reduce overlapping, serve more area, and makes these lines more profitability. The newest reform plan published in 2019 [2] stated that the bangkok bus lines concessions belongs to Department of Land Transportation, not BMTA anymore. And every single line can have only one operator.
This is a list of bus routes in Bangkok, operated by the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority or under private concession, currently operates in Bangkok and its exurbs: Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon and Nakhon Pathom. [5]

All These routes are routing through the expressway systems and go directly, or almost directly to the destination.

Transport in Thailand is varied, with no one dominant means of transport. For long distance travel, bus transport dominates. Low-speed rail travel has long been a rural long-distance transport mechanism, though plans are underway to expand services with high-speed rail lines extending to several major regions of Thailand. Road transportation is the primary form of freight transport across the country.
The Metropolitan Rapid Transit or MRT is a mass rapid transit system serving the Bangkok Metropolitan Region in Thailand. The MRT system comprises two rapid transit lines, with a further three lines currently under construction and due to open in 2023. The MRT Blue Line, officially the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line, between Hua Lamphong and Bang Sue was the first to open in 2004 as Bangkok's second metro system. The MRT Blue line is officially known in Thai as rotfaifa mahanakhon (รถไฟฟ้ามหานคร) or "metropolitan electric train", but it is more commonly called rotfai taidin (รถไฟใต้ดิน), literally, "underground train".
Citybus Limited is a bus company which provides both franchised and non-franchised service in Hong Kong. Lumphini Park, also Lumpini or Lumpinee, is a 360 rai park in Bangkok, Thailand. The park offers rare open public space, trees, and playgrounds in the Thai capital and contains an artificial lake where visitors can rent boats. Paths around the park totalling approximately 2.5 km in length are a popular area for morning and evening joggers. Officially, cycling is only permitted during the day between the times of 10:00 to 15:00. There is a smoking ban throughout the park. Dogs are not allowed, except certified guide dogs only. Lumphini Park is regarded as the first public park in Bangkok and Thailand.
Tha Phra Chan is a pier on Rattanakosin Island, Bangkok, on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River, in Phra Nakhon District. The pier is beside Thammasat University's campus of the same name. Tha Phra Chan literally means 'moon pier'. More broadly, the name also refers to the area around the pier and the university. The area is also known as a marketplace for Thai amulets and astrologers. It is also full of shops, book stores, restaurants, and food stalls.
Rail transport plays a crucial role in connecting various regions of Thailand, transporting both goods and passengers through a range of transportation options that include inter-city and commuter rail, mass rapid transit, monorails, and airport rail links. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) operates a network of intercity railways spanning 4,845.1 kilometers, covering 47 provinces across the country. SRT is committed to developing railway lands through its subsidiary, SRT Asset (SRTA), which focuses on transit-oriented development (TOD) initiatives. The Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal in Bangkok serves as the primary transportation hub for rail transport in Thailand, connecting various types of rail transportation throughout the country. It covers an area of 274,192 square meters, making it the largest railway station in Southeast Asia, and is situated in a new central business district (CBD) that is currently being developed.
Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, also known as BMTA, is the main operator of public transit buses within the Greater Bangkok area. It is the largest city bus system in Thailand. The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority offers bus and van routes throughout the city and its suburban provinces.
Bangkok has 9.7 million automobiles and motorbikes, a number the government says is eight times more than can be properly accommodated on existing roads. And those numbers are increasing by 700 additional cars and 400 motorbikes every day. Charoen Krung Road, the first road to be built by Western techniques, was completed in 1864. Since then, the road network has expanded to accommodate the sprawling city's needs. Besides roads, Bangkok is served by several other transport systems. Bangkok's canals and ferries historically served as a major mode of transport, but they have long since been eclipsed by land traffic. A complex elevated expressway network and Tollway helps bring traffic into and out of the city centre, but Bangkok's rapid growth has put a large strain on infrastructure. By the late-1970s, Bangkok became known as "the city of traffic disaster". Although rail transport was introduced in 1893 and electric trams served the city from 1894 to 1968, it was only in 1999 that Bangkok's first rapid transit system began operation. Older public transport systems include an extensive bus network and boat services which still operate on the Chao Phraya and two canals. Taxis appear in the form of cars, motorcycles, and tuk-tuks.

Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, also known by its former name Bang Sue Grand Station, is the central passenger terminal in Bangkok and the current railway hub of Thailand. It replaced the existing Bangkok railway station as the city's central railway station with long-distance rail services operating from here from 19 January 2023. The station was opened on 2 August 2021 as part of the operation of the SRT Red Lines, and from May 2021 to September 2022 served as a COVID-19 vaccination center. It is linked to the Bang Sue MRT station via an underground walkway.

It is operated by many private-joint companies. The Line 8 is notorious for reckless driving and atrocious customer service. Riders filed 345 complaints about the poor services of No. 8 buses in 2015, the highest number of BMTA complaints. On average, Bus Line 8 receives about 20 complaints per month. In informal polling, it has been ranked as the worst bus service in Bangkok.

The manufacture, sale, and adoption of electric vehicles in Thailand is supported by the Thai government, in order to reduce carbon emissions and air pollution. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha appointed the National Electric Vehicle Policy Committee in February 2020 to set targets for zero emission vehicle adoption. The government has announced aims for 30% of automobiles produced in 2030 to be electric, and to become a regional hub for electric vehicle manufacturing.
