Transportation in Israel is based mainly on private motor vehicles and bus service and an expanding railway network. A lack of inland waterways and the small size of the country make air and water transport of only minor importance in domestic transportation, but they are vitally important for Israel's international transport links. Demands of population growth, political factors, the Israel Defense Forces, tourism and increased traffic set the pace for all sectors, being a major driver in the mobility transition towards railways and public transit while moving away from motorized road transport. All facets of transportation in Israel are under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety.
Bat Yam is a city located on Israel's Mediterranean Sea coast, on the Central Coastal Plain just south of Tel Aviv. It is part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area and the Tel Aviv District. In 2020, it had a population of 160,000.
Israel Railways Ltd., dba Israel Railways, is the state-owned principal railway company responsible for all inter-city, commuter, and freight rail transport in Israel. Israel Railways network consists of 1,138 kilometers (707 mi) of track. All its lines are standard gauge. The network is centered in Israel's densely populated coastal plain, from which lines radiate out in many directions. In 2018, Israel Railways carried 68 million passengers.
Dalal Mughrabi was a Palestinian militant who was a member of the Fatah faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and participated in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre in Israel. The attack resulted in the death of 38 Israeli civilians, including 13 children. Mughrabi and eight other militants were also killed in the course of the operation. While she has been hailed as a martyr and a national hero among many Palestinians, Israel and the United Nations have described her as a terrorist.

Jaffa, in Hebrew Yafo and in Arabic Yafa and also called Japho or Joppa, the southern and oldest part of Tel Aviv-Yafo, is an ancient port city in Israel. Jaffa is famous for its association with the biblical stories of Jonah, Solomon and Saint Peter as well as the mythological story of Andromeda and Perseus, and later for its oranges.
Daphni Leef is an Israeli social activist, video artist, and editor. In July 2011 she initiated the 2011 Israeli Social Justice Protest that took place in Tel Aviv and were the largest social protests in Israel's history.

Chen Arieli is a social activist, feminist, and politician who has been active in the LGBTQIA+ rights and Women's rights movement in Israel. Chen Arieli was born on July 9, 1976 and raised in Haifa to Dan and Leah, a sister to Orly Zarfati and Ran Arieli. Arieli currently serves as the Deputy Mayor of the Tel Aviv-Yafo and serves as Co-Chair of The Aguda – Israel's LGBT Task Force. Arieli is the first open Lesbian to hold the Deputy Mayor position.
Mordechai Maurice "Moti" Ben-Moshe is an Israeli businessman. He is the chairman and CEO of Germany holding company Extra Holding, which controls Extra Energy. He is also the owner of Alon Blue Square, and briefly served as chairman of IDB Group.
Anat Zamir was an Israeli model and actress. She was named Na'arat Israel at the Miss Israel contest of 1980 and went on to represent Israel at the Miss World 1980, contest where she was third runner-up. Zamir modelled for multiple companies and was in the 1990 film Kiss in the IDF and the 1991 film Shevet Choen.
