The Loky River, also known as the Lokia River, is located in northern Madagascar. It drains in the north-eastern coast, into the Indian Ocean and forms the natural border between Diana and Sava Region.

It is crossed by the RN 5a near Anivorano du Nord. Its mouth is situated in Lokia Bay.

The northern rufous mouse lemur, northern brown mouse lemur, or Tavaratra mouse lemur is found in northern Madagascar from the Ankarana Special Reserve in the west to the Manambato River in the northeast, and up to the Irodo River in the north of the Analamerana Special Reserve. The complete distribution range of M. tavaratra is still to be defined as some areas surrounding the described distribution have not been visited yet. For example, M. tavaratra has been reported to possibly occur from the Irodo up to the Montagne des Français. Lokis. A Manuscript of Professor Wittembach is an 1869 Prosper Mérimée horror fantasy novella. It was one of the last stories by Mérimée, started in July 1868 and published in the Revue des deux Mondes in September 1869. The title is a misspelling of the Lithuanian word lokys for "bear". The plot revolves around a young man who is suspected to be half-human half-bear. Robin MacKenzie from University of St Andrews classifies the plot into a werewolf theme with some elements of vampirism. The novella primarily deals with the dual nature of human–beast. It also contrasts Western education and Christianity with pagan Lithuanian rituals and beliefs, on more broadly – cultured civilization with primordial wilderness.

Lokėnėliai is a village in Lithuania. It is located near the Jonava–Ukmergė road and the Lokys stream. According to the 2011 census, it had 14 residents. Lokės pėda, an adventure park, was established in the village in 2005. The park covers 1.3 hectares and offers obstacle courses in trees and zip-lines.
