Mannanthala Anandavalleshwaram Devi Temple is a Hindu temple in the Mannanthala suburb of Thiruvananthapuram, [1] India.
This temple is located at an altitude of about 73.72 m above the mean sea level. Mannanthala Anandavalleshwaram temple is situated near main road, one bus stop ahead of Mannanthala junction while travelling from Trivandrum to Kottayam via MC road. This temple can easily be identified by its North Indian style architecture and presence of a banyan tree near the temple.
In earlier days priests worshiped 'Bhadrakali'. They sacrificed animals to please the Devi. At that time this was a common thing. One day Sree Narayana Guru came there. He raised his voice against this brutal and ancient act and stopped the animal sacrifice at the temple. Here Guru made a new Prathista after the famous Aruvippuram Prathista. Later Guru advised the chief priest of the temple to worship Devi as 'Sree Parvathy'. Guru also wrote a poem, which hails the Devi, known as "Mannanthala Devi Stavam". From that day onwards Devi has been worshiped as 'Sree Parvathy'.
Now main deity is Devi Sree Parvathy. Lord Vinayaka, Lord Subramanya and Nagaraja are sub deities. Temple opens at five o' clock and closes around ten o' clock, in the mornings in normal days. Similarly temple opens at five o' clock and closes around eight o' clock in the evenings. Remember this timing is not valid for festival days. Different types of poojas are available at this temple. Priests are selected from Ezhava Community.

Thirumandhamkunnu Temple is a historically significant Hindu temple in Angadipuram, which was the capital of Valluvanad Rajavamsham, in Malappuram district, Kerala state, South India. The temple deity, Thirumandhamkunnil amma, was the paradevatha of the kings of Valluvanad, the local feudal kings ruled the area in the Middle Ages. The Nair warriors of Valluvanad king set out from this temple to Thirunavaya, to participate in the famous Mamankam festival. A memorial structure called the chaver thara can be found in front of the main entrance of the Thirumanthamkunnu Temple.
Mezhuveli Anandabhootheshawaram Temple is a famous Lord Shiva Temple situated at the heart of Mezhuveli village in Pathanamthitta District. This temple was built by the villagers under the leadership of famous social reformer and poet Sri. Muloor S.Padmanabha Panicker and consecrated by Sree Narayana Guru. This century-old temple was built on a place called 'Tholekavu' which was surrounded by a small hill called 'Meenchirakkal Hill' on the southern side, 'Ambottimodi' also called 'Kailasam' on the east, a beautiful stream flowing on the western side near "Pottanmala" and at the north side "Padmanabhan Kunnu", a small hill. Tholekavu was a small forest, which is believed to be a part of the Pandalam Kingdom.

The Biraja Temple, or Birija Kshetra, is a historic Hindu temple located in Jajpur, Odisha, India. The present temple was built during the 13th century. The principal idol is Devi Durga, who is worshipped as Viraja (Girija), and the temple gave Jajpur the nicknames "Viraja Kshetra" and "Biraja Peetha". The Durga idol has two hands (dwibhuja), spearing the chest of Mahishasura with one hand and pulling his tail with the other. One of her feet is on a lion, and the other is on Mahishasura's chest. Mahishasura is depicted as a water buffalo. The idol's crown features Ganesha, a crescent moon and a lingam. The temple covers a large area, and has several shrines to Shiva and other deities. Sree Kurumba Bhagavati Temple is a Hindu temple at Kodungallur, Thrissur District, Kerala state, India. It is dedicated to the goddess Bhadrakali, a form of Mahakali or simply Durga or Aadi Parashakthi worshipped and significantly revered in Kerala. The goddess is known also by the names "Sri Kurumba"". This temple is the head of 64 Bhadrakali temples in Kerala. This Mahakali temple is one of the oldest functioning temples in India. This is attested by numerous Tamil poems and inscriptions of different times. The goddess of the temple represents the goddess in her fierce ('ugra') form, facing North, featuring eight hands with various attributes. One is holding the head of the demon king Daruka, another a sickle-shaped sword, next an anklet, another a bell, among others. Routine worship at the temple every day at 03:00 and ends at 21:00 local time.

Poruvazhy Peruviruthy Malanada, popularly known as Peruviruthy Malanada or Malanada is the one and only one Duryodhana Temple in South India.. It is located at Edakkad Ward (Kara) of Poruvazhy village in Kunnathoor Taluk of Kollam district, India. This place is the northern border of Kollam district which Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts share the boundaries. The temple is located equidistant from Adoor to the Northeast and Sasthamcottah to the Southeast. It is also reachable from Kayamkulam and Karunagappally on the NH 47 and Kottarakkara on the MC road.
Ezhava is a caste in Kerala. Shiva is a Hindu god. Siva idol was consecrated by social reformer Sree Narayana Guru at Aruvippuram, in 1888. Ezhava Siva refers not to Siva as God but to the tongue-in-cheek reply given by Sree Narayana Guru when questioned by a group of Brahmins about the legitimacy of a non Brahmin consecrating a temple. This was a major break from tradition as installation of idols by non Brahmins was considered blasphemy and Sree Narayana Guru belonged to the lower caste Ezhava community. The sarcasm was meant to highlight the immorality of Brahmins who denied social spaces and the right to worship from the lower castes.
