Markle House and Mill Site is a historic home and site of Markle's Mill located in Otter Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana. The house was built in 1848, and is a two-story, Greek Revival style painted brick dwelling with Italianate style influences. It has a one-story, front porch with Doric order columns. The Markle's Mill burned in 1938, and the remains consist of stone and concrete foundations and the associated remains of the dam. Also on the property are the contributing outhouse and carriage house. [2] :2–3

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. [1]

Vigo county commissioners plan to tear down dam site in September 2023. [3]

Tide Water Pumping Station, also known as Benton Station and SOHIO Pumping Station, is a historic pumping station complex and national historic district located in Harrison Township, Clay County, Indiana. The complex includes the 1+12-story, brick gale roofed pump house (1915); frame warehouse; a metal shed; two Queen Anne style dwellings; a metal garage; a concrete sluice and bridges; and the remains of a tennis court, dam and pond, and buried pipes. It is one of 14 pumping stations built along a 546.16 mile oil pipeline built between Crawford County, Illinois and Rixford, Pennsylvania. The station closed about 1957.

Yount's Woolen Mill and Boarding House is a historic woolen mill and boarding house located in Ripley Township, Montgomery County, Indiana. The boarding house was built in 1851, and is a two-story, L-shaped, Late Federal style brick building. It has a gable-on-hip roof and two-story porch on the rear side. The mill was built in 1864, and is a 2+12-story brick building on a raised basement with Greek Revival style design elements. Also on the property are the remains of an 1849 frame mill, an 1867 brick building, dam and mill race. The Yount Mill was contracted by the U.S. Government to manufacture Army uniforms during both the American Civil War and Spanish–American War.

Phoenix Club was a historic clubhouse located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1905, and was a two-story, rectangular, Renaissance Revival style pressed brick building with limestone detailing. It was built to house the Phoenix Club, a Jewish men's organization. It later housed the Central Labor Union of Vigo County. It has been demolished.

DeWees-Preston-Smith House was a historic home located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built between 1823 and 1826, and was a 1+12-story, vernacular Southern post-colonial style stone dwelling. It featured a full width verandah and a stuccoed front. It was damaged by fire in 1979, and was the oldest remaining structure in Terre Haute. It has been demolished.

Vigo County Home for Dependent Children, also known as the Glenn Home, is a historic orphanage located in Lost Creek Township, Vigo County, Indiana. The main building was built in 1903, and is a 2+12-story, Colonial Revival style brick building on a raised basement. It has a hipped and gabled roof and features a semi-circular, two-story portico with four Doric order columns. Also on the property is a contributing former boiler house. The main building is the home of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity chapter at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
