Colonel Mike E. Attah was the Military Administrator of Anambra State in Nigeria from 9 December 1993 to 21 August 1996 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. [1]

On October 25, 1995, Mike Attah set up a Commission of Inquiry to investigate violent disturbances that had erupted on 30 September 1995 between the Aguleri and Umuleri communities. The commission found that the attack by the Aguleri had been carefully planned, including use of hired mercenaries, and that the local authorities had done little to avert the crisis. [2]

He dismissed six government-employed journalists for failing to join his entourage because their car was out of fuel. [3]

In 1995 he made a grant of about N12 million to the Anambra State Polytechnic for reconditioning and renovation of the facilities. [4] He awarded a contract for N650 million to Chief Christian Uba, a businessman, to build the new Government House and the governor's lodge, known as Zik's Place. [5] In June 2006, the work was still not complete, and the contractor was suing for payment to cover costs to date. [6]

Chris Ngige is currently a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Chinwoke Mbadinuju was Governor of Anambra State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003, elected on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform. His period in office was noted for internal PDP disputes resulting in a failure of effective government. After leaving office, he was embroiled in court cases over alleged involvement in a political murder.

Peter Gregory Obi is a Nigerian politician and businessman who was the vice presidential candidate in the 2019 Nigerian general election under the Peoples Democratic Party. James Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo is a Nigerian businessman and politician who was governor of Anambra State (1979–1983) during the Nigerian Second Republic and was Senator for Enugu East in Enugu State (1999–2003). In 2003, he ran unsuccessfully in the Nigerian Presidential elections.

Brigadier-General Dominic Obukadata Oneya was Administrator of Kano State, Nigeria from August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha, then Administrator of Benue State from August 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar, handing over power to the elected executive governor George Akume on 29 May 1999. Later, he became Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association.

He defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress in February 2017; the leadership crises engulfing the former ruling party PDP may have motivated his decision.
