Neriya is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. [1] [2] It is located in the Beltangadi taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka.

Environmental issues

The forests around Neriya village were thought to have been affected due to the Mangalore - Bangalore Pipeline (MBPL) and were in news during the late 1990s and early 2000s. [3]

Karnataka is a state in the southern part of India. It was created on 1 November 1956, with the passing of the States Reorganisation Act. Karnataka is bordered by the Arabian Sea to the west, Goa to the north-west, Maharashtra to the north, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to the east, Tamil Nadu to the south-east, and Kerala to the south-west.
