Norway has participated in 54 Miss World pageants since the pageant's inception in 1951. No Norwegian has won the title, although one was first runner-up in 1972.
One of the two winners at the Miss Norway Pageant would compete at the Miss World. When the candidate does not qualify (due to age), another woman is sent. Norway sent its first Miss World representative to the third Miss World pageant in 1953. Norway has never won Miss World. Its best placement belongs to Ingeborg Sørensen, first runner-up to Miss World 1972.

Miss India or Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in Miss World, one of the Big Four major international beauty pageants. It is organised by Femina, a women's magazine published by The Times Group. Since 2013, Femina has also organised Miss Diva as a separate competition, with representatives competing at Miss Universe.

Star Cyprus or Miss Cyprus is a national Beauty pageant in Cyprus held the last quarter of the year, primarily in November. The 2 winners compete internationally, the following year. Due to the return of the Miss Universe franchise held in 2013. Between that year to 2015, the winner is sent to Miss World and the runner-up was sent to Miss Earth. In 2016, the contest was split into two, while Star Cyprus sends the winner to Miss World, created Miss Kypros that is sent the winner to Miss Earth. The most recent Miss Cyprus was Eleni Efstathiou. A young ambitious and beautiful teen joined the competition at age 18. She won the crown by impressing the judges with her compassion for the environment. Eleni is now studying abroad to further her ambitions.
