Nossa Senhora da Luz (Portuguese for Our Lady of Light) is a freguesia (civil parish) of Cape Verde. It covers the eastern part of the municipality of São Domingos, on the island of Santiago.
Cape Verde or Cabo Verde, officially the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an island country spanning an archipelago of 10 volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean. It forms part of the Macaronesia ecoregion, along with the Azores, Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Savage Isles. In ancient times these islands were referred to as "the Islands of the Blessed" or the "Fortunate Isles". Located 570 kilometres (350 mi) west of the Cape Verde Peninsula off the coast of Northwest Africa, the islands cover a combined area of slightly over 4,000 square kilometres (1,500 sq mi).
São Domingos is a concelho (municipality) of Cape Verde. It is situated in the southeastern part of the island of Santiago. Its seat is the city São Domingos. Its population was 13,699 at the 2010 census, and its area is 147.5 km2.

It is situated near the east coast, 1.5 km southeast of Praia Baixo, 2 km northwest of Baía and 15 km northeast of Praia. It sits at an elevation of about 50 meters.
Baía is a settlement in the eastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is part of the municipality of São Domingos. In 2010 its population was 489. It is situated near the east coast, 2 km southeast of Achada Baleia, 2 km northwest of Moia Moia and 14 km northeast of Praia. It sits at an elevation of about 20 meters. The settlement consists of several localities, including Achada Baixo, Castelinho and Covão Santana. The ruined Gothic church of Nossa Senhora da Luz, which was part of the 15th century Portuguese settlement Alcatrazes, stands at the shore near Baía.
Milho Branco is a village in the southeastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is situated 2 km north of Ribeirão Chiqueiro, 5 km east of the city São Domingos and 12 km north of the capital Praia. The national road EN1-ST02 from Ribeirão Chiqueiro to Tarrafal via Pedra Badejo passes through the village. It is part of the municipality of São Domingos. In 2010 its population was 607.

Its seat is the city Cova Figueira. The Municipality of Santa Catarina do Fogo was created in 2005; before 2005, it was a parish of the Municipality of São Filipe.
São Salvador do Mundo is a concelho (municipality) of Cape Verde. It is situated in the central part of the island of Santiago. Its seat is the city Picos. Its population was 8,677 at the 2010 census, and its area is 26.5 km2, making it the smallest municipality of Cape Verde. The municipality borders Santa Cruz to the northeast, São Lourenço dos Órgãos to the southeast, Ribeira Grande de Santiago to the southwest and Santa Catarina to the northwest.
Achadinha is a subdivision of the city of Praia in the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its population was 8,483 at the 2010 census. It is situated north of the city centre. Adjacent neighbourhoods include Bairro Craveiro Lopes to the south, Fazenda in the east, Achada Eugênio Lima in the west and Calabaceira in the north, on the other side of the Ribeira da Trindade.

Chã de Areia is a subdivision of the city of Praia in the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Its population was 247 at the 2010 census. It is situated south and west of the city centre. Its main streets are Avenida Combatentes da Liberdade da Patria and Avenida Cidade de Lisboa.
