Old Down is a hamlet in South Gloucestershire, near the larger villages of Olveston and Tockington and a mile west of Alveston. A tourist attraction called Old Down Country Park now occupies the country house in the village, and there is also a pub, The Fox, as well as several sporting facilities (a cricket club, football pitch and a bowling green).

Gaunt's Earthcott, sometimes spelt Gaunts Earthcott, is a hamlet in the civil parish of Almondsbury in South Gloucestershire, England. It consists of a ruined chapel, a few houses and two farms, Green Farm and Court Farm. The village is located approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) from Rudgeway and the A38 road and about the same distance from Frampton Cotterell and Winterbourne. The village is located close to the interchange between the M4 and M5 motorways. There is no real industry as such and the main economic activity in the area is farming.
The River Wheelock is a small river in Cheshire in north west England. It drains water from the area between Sandbach and Crewe, and joins the River Dane at Middlewich, and then the combined river flows into the River Weaver in Northwich. Alternative names for the river have were recorded in 1619 as Sutton Watter, Sutton Brooke, and Lawton Brooke.

There are 22 disused railway stations in the 75 miles (121 km) between Bristol Temple Meads and Exeter St Davids, 12 of which have structures that can still be seen from passing trains. Most were closed in the 1960s but four of them, especially around Weston-super-Mare, were replaced by stations on new sites. 13 stations remain open on the line today, but there have been proposals to reopen stations at Cullompton and Wellington.

The ward was created for the 2002 elections and covered the western areas of Hampstead, between Hampstead Village and Finchley Road and took its name from Frognal and Fitzjohn's Avenue. St Brides Major is a community on the western edge of the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Three long distance paths cross the community. It is the western limit of the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast, and has a visitor centre and tourist facilities.
Dews Farm Sand Pits is a 1.2-hectare (3.0-acre) nature reserve near Harefield in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is managed by the London Wildlife Trust, and is a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade I.
