Pittefaux (French pronunciation: [pitfo] ; West Flemish : Pitesveld) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France. [3]

Geography

Pittefaux is situated 5 miles (8.0 km) northeast of Boulogne, at the junction of the D232 and D242 roads and by the banks of the river Wimereux.

Transport

The Chemin de fer de Boulogne à Bonningues (CF de BB) opened a station in the Pittefaux area called Souverain-Moulin on 22 April 1900. [5] Passenger services were withdrawn on 31 December 1935. [6] They were reinstated in November 1942. [7] The CF de BB closed in 1948. [8]
