Poco (stylised as POCO), formerly known as Poco by Xiaomi is a Chinese company specialized in smartphones. The Poco brand was first announced in August 2018 as a mid-range smartphone line under Xiaomi. Poco India became an independent company on 17 January 2020,^[1]^[2]^[3] followed by its global counterpart on 24 November 2020.^[4]^[5]^[6] Poco released its first smartphone, the Pocophone F1 in August 2018.^[7]^[8]

History

The Poco brand was launched as a Xiaomi sub-brand in August 2018. The Poco sub-brand had a small team within Xiaomi, and chose the name Poco as it represented the team since "poco" means "a little" in Spanish and Italian.^[9]^[10] Xiaomi introduced the Pocophone F1 under the Poco branding which became a success.^[11] Poco India became an independent brand before the launch of its second device in January 2020. During the span of 3 years, the company launched 11 devices, most of them are rebranded Redmi smartphones.^[12]^[13]

In January 2021, Poco India introduced its new mascot and slogan Made of Mad.^[14]

The upgraded version, sold both as Redmi Note 4X and Redmi Note 4 is powered by an Octa-core MSM8953 Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The Redmi Note 4 was succeeded by Redmi Note 5.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is a smartphone developed by Xiaomi Inc. It is a part of Xiaomi's budget Redmi Note smartphone line. Redmi Note 5 was announced on 14 February 2018 in Delhi, India, alongside the local release of the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is a smartphone developed by Xiaomi Inc, a Chinese electronics company based in Beijing. It was announced on 22 August 2018 in New Delhi, India. Though part of Xiaomi's line of mid-range devices, it is equipped with high-end specifications. The device is available globally in limited numbers, except for India where it enjoys wide availability. The Pocophone was often considered to be a flagship model of the Redmi line of 2019, although officially marketed as a separate and distinct model.

The Redmi Note 7series refer to a series of smartphones released by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi. All have 48MP + 5MP camera sensors. Most have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, except the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which has a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The phones support mobile network frequencies in different regions. The Note 7 is available in many local versions and a global version, compatible with mobile phone providers in most places; the Pro model is supplied in slightly different Chinese and Indian versions. The Redmi Note 7S doesn't have much difference when compared to Redmi Note 7 except in case of the rear camera, hence the production of the Redmi Note 7S was discontinued and came under the Redmi Note 7 in India but it's still available separately in China and other countries.

Redmi K30 is a line of Android-based smartphones manufactured by Xiaomi and marketed under its Redmi sub-brand. There are two main models, the K30 and the K30 5G. A rebranded version of the K30 was later announced for India as the POCO X2, followed by the K30 5G Speed, which has a faster version of the K30 5G's chipset, and the K30i 5G which has a lower resolution camera sensor.

The Redmi K40 is a line of Android-based smartphones manufactured by Xiaomi and marketed under its Redmi sub-brand. There are several models, the K40, K40 Pro, K40 Pro+, K40 Gaming and K40S. In the global market the Redmi K40 was launched as POCO F3 and the Redmi K40 Pro+ was launched as Xiaomi Mi 11i. In April 2021 the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro+ were released in India as Xiaomi Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro. In July 2021 the Redmi K40 Gaming was released globally as POCO F3 GT. The Redmi K40S was released globally as POCO F4 but with improved specs.

The Redmi Note 10 is a line of Android-based smartphones as part of the Redmi Note series by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi Inc. This series were introduced in March 2021 in India and worldwide and May 2021 in China. It succeeds the Redmi Note 9 series of smartphones, which were introduced in 2020.

Redmi A1 and Redmi A1+ are Android-based smartphone designed, marketed and manufactured by Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi. They were announced on September 6, 2022 and they were released on September 9, 2022. Smartphones have a Mediatek Helio A22 processor, Leather Design and 8MP dual camera. Redmi A1+ has a fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi K60 is a series of Android-based smartphones manufactured by Xiaomi. These phones were announced on December 27, 2022. The global version of K60 released as POCO F5 Pro.

The Redmi 12 and Redmi 12 5G are Android-based smartphones marketed as part of the Redmi series by a sub-brand of Xiaomi Inc with the same name. 4G model was announced on June 15, 2023 and 5G model was announced on August 1, 2023.

The Redmi 12C is an Android-based smartphone as part of the Redmi series, a sub-brand of Xiaomi Inc. This phone was announced on December 31, 2022.
