The Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra was a political party in the Indian state of Tripura. Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl was the President of the party. It merged with the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Alliance (TIPRA) party on 11 June 2021.

Animesh Debbarma is an Indian politician and senior leader of the Tipra Motha Party. Currently, he is a cabinet minister in the second Manik Saha Ministry. He served as the 13th Leader of the Opposition of Tripura Legislative Assembly from 24 March 2023 to 6 March 2024. He was also the Deputy Chief Executive Member of TTAADC but resigned when he won the 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election.

The National Conference of Tripura (NCT) was a regional political party of the state of Tripura, India formed in December 2006 at Darjeelingpara in Teliamura. It was formed by Rabindra Kishore Debbarma, formerly of the GMP of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) in Tripura, and Animesh Debbarma of Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT). The NCT included many disaffected members of the Twipra Students Union, the Tribal Youth Federation and the GMP of the CPIM party in Tripura, and leaders from INPT. The NCT contested the 2013 state elections but did not win any seats. However, on 14 March 2020 it merged with the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra.

Pradyot Manikya Deb Barma is the current titular King (Maharaja) and statesman from Tripura. He was born in New Delhi, and now resides in Agartala, Tripura. He also served as the editor of TNT-The Northeast Today. He is the current chairman of The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance also known as TIPRA Motha. He is known as 'Bubagra' among his people and is one of the active voices for the rights of Indigenous Tripuri people of Tripura.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Indigenous People's Front of Tripura</span> Political party in Tripura, India

The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) is a regional political party in Tripura, India. It is a member of the National Democratic Alliance and North-East Democratic Alliance. The party was merged into the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) in 2001, However diverged out in 2009. The party is allied with BJP in the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election and won eight seats out of eight contested seats. The party got 7.5% of the total votes polled. The BJP got 36 seats and with a total of 44 seats the BJP-IPFT coalition have two-thirds majority at the Legislative Assembly.

The politics of Tripura, a state in Northeast India, has been dominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Indian National Congress, the Tipra Motha Party, the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura and the Trinamool Congress. As of 2020, the Bharatiya Janata Party is the ruling party in the states's legislative assembly and also won the two parliamentary constituencies in 2019 Indian general election.

The TIPRA is led by Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma. It is currently the second largest party in Tripura Legislative Assembly.

Brishaketu Debbarma is a politician from Tripura, India. He was a member of 12th Tripura Legislative Assembly. He was elected to the Assembly in 2018, representing the Simna constituency) as a member of the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura. He resigned from the Legislative Assembly on 29 June 2021 and joined The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) on 9 July 2021.

Elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) were held on 6 April 2021. 25 of the 28 elected seats in the Autonomous District Council are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

Harinath Debbarma is a Tipra-Indian politician, activist and statesman from Tripura. Harinath Debbarma founded the Tripura Upajati Juba Samiti (TUJS) in 1967 along with Shyama Charan Tripura. Later he founded the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura in 1997.

He was the Founder and President of Tipraland State Party which joined hands with Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance(TIPRA). The Tipra Motha Party was registered with the Election Commission of India in January, 2023.
