Sheila Ann Klinker (born December 20,1938) is a Democratic politician who is currently a member of the Indiana House of Representatives,representing House District 27 since 1982.
Born in Indianapolis,Indiana,Klinker graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelor of Education in elementary education in 1961. [2] Klinker later received her Master of Science from Purdue in 1970. [3] Klinker worked her entire teaching career for the Lafayette School Corporation. She began her teaching career in 1961 at Klondike Elementary School in West Lafayette,Indiana while also teaching at Edgelea Elementary School. In 1963,Klinker began teaching at Miami Elementary School in Lafayette,Indiana,until 1985. Klinker was also the outreach liaison at the Purdue University College of Education.
Klinker currently serves on the House Committees for Agriculture and Rural Development,Education,and Ways and Means.

Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) was a public university in Fort Wayne,Indiana. Founded in 1964,IPFW was a cooperatively managed regional campus of two state university systems:Indiana University and Purdue University. IPFW hit its highest enrollment in 2014,with 13,459 undergraduate and postgraduate students in nine colleges and schools,including a branch of the Indiana University School of Medicine. Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) was a public research university in Indianapolis,Indiana,United States. Cherrish Pryor is an American politician from Indianapolis,Indiana. She is a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives,representing the 94th District since 2008. She has served as the Democratic Floor Leader since 2018. The first African American to hold the leadership position. She is also Treasurer for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators. A role she has held since 2021 and was recently re-elected to serve another two year term which will end in 2025.
Richard Owen was a Scottish-born geologist,natural scientist,educator,and American military officer who arrived in the United States in 1828 and settled at New Harmony,Indiana. Owen,who was trained as a natural scientist and physician,served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army during the Mexican–American War and the American Civil War. After the Civil War,Owen taught at Indiana University for fifteen years (1864–79) and chaired its natural science department. While retaining his faculty position at IU,Owen also served as Purdue University's first president (1872–74). During the interwar years,Owen taught natural science at the Western Military Institute in Kentucky and after its merger with the University of Nashville in Tennessee. In addition,Owen assisted his brother,David Dale Owen,with early geological studies of the Northwest Territory. In 1860 Richard Owen succeeded his brother to become Indiana's second state geologist. His research interests included geology,meteorology,terrestrial magnetism,and seismology. Owen authored scientific works that included geological surveys of several U.S. states.
Anna Margaret Ross Alexander (1913–1995) was a philanthropist,who organized the first mental health fund drive in Marion County,Indiana. She was elected to the Indianapolis Board of School Commissioners in 1966 during the desegregation and integration period. Under her administration as president in 1970,Indianapolis developed their desegregation plan. She was honored as Woman of the Year in 1970 by Theta Sigma Phi for her service in implementing integration and for being the only woman to have served on the board. She also served on the Tax Review Board and Historic Landmarks Foundation. She had a lifelong commitment to education and has had numerous awards named in her honor.
