Spirit is a town in Price County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 315 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Spirit is located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 41.6 square miles (107.7 km2), of which, 41.1 square miles (106.4 km2) is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) (1.20%) is water.
As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 315 people, 133 households, and 90 families residing in the town. The population density was 7.7 people per square mile (3.0/km2). There were 244 housing units at an average density of 5.9 per square mile (2.3/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.41% White, 0.63% African American, 0.63% Native American, and 0.32% from two or more races.
There were 133 households, out of which 25.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.7% were married couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% were non-families. 26.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.88.
