SJPII, the first Catholic high school to be founded in Tallahassee, opened in 2001. It graduated its first class in 2004, with the first charter class graduating the next year, in 2005.
The St. John Paul II campus initially had a gymnasium, chapel, main building, soccer field, and baseball field. A softball field was added in 2013 and opened for the 2014 season. The school has plans for future expansion.
The school also has a wide range of clubs, among them an Automotive Club, Aerospace Engineering club, and Literary club.
SJPII has an active drama department, a chorus that competes statewide in choral competitions, and a creative arts department that has competed in art competitions and exhibited at various Tallahassee museums and shows. St. John Paul II puts on an annual arts and music festival known as SouthWoodStock featuring student and outside artists and musicians.[4]

Moreau Catholic High School is a college preparatory Roman Catholic secondary school sponsored by the Moreau Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross. It is located in Hayward, California, within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland under the care of Michael C. Barber, the Bishop of Oakland. It opened in 1965 as an all-boys Catholic High School, temporarily located on the parish grounds of St. Bede's Church. That same year, construction of the permanent campus began at the current location. That construction was completed in the spring of 1967. Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School was opened in 1998 in Southwest Ranches, Florida, United States.
