Swan Pond is an unincorporated community in Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It takes its name from the Swan Pond reservoir there.

Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron, was a Scottish peer. The only resident peer in late colonial-era America, Fairfax owned a vast territory of land in Virginia known as the Northern Neck Proprietary, which his ancestors had acquired in 1649 by a land grant from King Charles II of England. The proprietary originally spanned roughly 5 million acres, and Fairfax administered it from his wilderness estate in Greenway Court, Virginia. He owned several hundred slaves on some 30 farms and derived much of his income from their labor.

Edwards Run is a 7.9-mile-long (12.7 km) tributary stream of the Cacapon River, belonging to the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay watersheds. The stream is located in Hampshire County in the U.S. state of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. Edwards Run is named for Joseph Edwards and his family, whose plantation encompassed most of the stream's course. George Washington surveyed his property in the late 1740s. It is a major source of various species of elodea.

Cutler Park is a state-owned nature preserve and public recreation area that lies between Route 128/I-95 and the Charles River in Needham, Massachusetts. The state park's 772 acres (312 ha) contain the largest remaining freshwater marsh on the middle Charles River. Parts of its major trail run directly through the marsh via boardwalks; over 100 species of birds have been sighted here. The park is part of a plan by the Town of Needham to connect 18 public areas by 35 proposed trails. It is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The mute swan is a species of swan and a member of the waterfowl family Anatidae. It is native to much of Eurasia, and the far north of Africa. It is an introduced species in North America, home to the largest populations outside of its native range, with additional smaller introductions in Australasia and southern Africa. The name "mute" derives from it being less vocal than other swan species. Measuring 125 to 160 cm in length, this large swan is wholly white in plumage with an orange beak bordered with black. It is recognizable by its pronounced knob atop the beak, which is larger in males.

Swan Pond, also known as "Folkland" and the Dr. Edward O. Williams House, is a historic home located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. It was built after 1810, and has a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay wide, brick main section with a brick wing. The house is in a transitional Georgian / Federal-style. Also on the property is a 19th-century log outbuilding. As of January 11, 2023 the historic home and surrounding acreage returned to the ownership of the Folk family when former West Virginia State Delegate Michael Folk and his wife, Stella, purchased the 5 bedroom 4 bath home on the remaining 60+- acres.
Swan Pond Manor Historic District is a national historic district located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, U.S.A. It encompasses 21 contributing buildings, one site, and one structure, over 2,465 acres. The agricultural district boundaries reflect the Swan Pond Manor land of Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron, which he set aside in 1747 as a part of his Northern Neck Territory for his personal use. Notable buildings include the Capt. James Mason House, Kroh-Sprinkle House (1819), Jacob A. Small House, Robert Carter Willis House, Dr. Williams House, "Hollidale," and "Wood Haven" (1895), Raleigh Morgan House. Also located in the district is the separately listed Swan Pond.

The district was originally established as a civil township in 1863, and converted into a magisterial district in 1872. When Jackson County was redistricted in the 1990s, the area of Grant District was included in the new Northern Magisterial District. However, the county's historic magisterial districts continue to exist in the form of tax districts, serving all of their former administrative functions except for the election of county officials.
