Team Gunston was a privateer team founded by Rhodesian racing driver John Love to enter his own cars in Formula One and sports car racing between 1962 and 1975. He also entered cars under his own name, i.e. John Love. Commonly the vehicles were entered for Love himself, but he also provided cars for a number of other drivers during the period.

At the 1968 South African Grand Prix Team Gunston became the first Formula One team to implement sponsorship brands as a livery when they entered a private Brabham car. [2]

Anderson was one of the last independent privateer drivers in Formula One before escalating costs made it impossible to compete without sponsorship.

Henri Jacques William Pescarolo is a former racing driver from France. He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans a record 33 times, winning on four occasions, and won a number of other major sports car events including the 24 Hours of Daytona. He also participated in 64 Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, achieving one podium and 12 championship points. Pescarolo also drove in the Dakar Rally in the 1990s, before retiring from racing at the age of 57. In 2000 he set up his eponymous racing team, Pescarolo Sport, which competed in Le Mans until 2013. He wore a distinctive green helmet, and wears a full-face beard that partially covers burns suffered in a crash.

Robert Michael Doornbos is a Dutch former racing driver who also competed with a Monégasque licence. Doornbos then drove for Minardi Team USA in the 2007 and final season of the Champ Car World Series. The Lotus 49 was a Formula One racing car designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe for the 1967 F1 season. It was designed around the Cosworth DFV engine that would power most of the Formula One grid through the 1970s. It was one of the first F1 cars to use a stressed member engine combined with a monocoque to reduce weight, with other teams adopting the concept after its success. It also pioneered the use of aerofoils to generate downforce.

Coloni Motorsport, also known as Scuderia Coloni, was an auto racing team from Italy.
