Tripura Gramin Bank [1] (TGB) is a Regional Rural Bank established on 21 December 1976 in terms of the provisions under the Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The bank is sponsored by Punjab National Bank and is owned by Government of India (50% of Share Capital Deposit), Govt. of Tripura (15% of Share Capital Deposit) and Punjab National Bank (35% of Share Capital Deposit). TGB has total number of 154 operating branches in Eight District in Tripura. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance , Government of India.

The shareholders of the Bank are Government of India (50%), Punjab National Bank (35%) and Government of Tripura (15%). The Bank is operating in eight districts of Tripura State with its Head Office at Agartala. The bank has three Regional Offices functioning at Agartala (West Tripura), Udaipur (South Tripura) and Kailashahar (North Tripura).

History

The bank was established on 21.12.1976 with only four branches (Agartala, Bishramganj, Bishalgarh & Jolaibari). However, presently it has grown to a network of 154 branches operating in eight districts in the State. In 2010, the bank launched its Core Banking Solution. ATM facility has now been extended to almost all branches & bank has launched Mobile Banking service in 4 May 2018.

Utkal Grameen Bank (UGB) is a Regional Rural Bank established on 1 November 2012 with the merger of Rushikulya Gramya Bank and Utkal Gramya Bank in terms of provisions of Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The bank is sponsored by State Bank of India & is jointly Owned by the Government of India, Government of Odisha and SBI.It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

Odisha Gramya Bank (OGB) is a Regional Rural Bank established on 7 January 2013 with the amalgamation of Neelachala Gramya Bank, Kalinga Gramya Bank and Baitarani Gramya Bank in terms of provisions of Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. The bank is sponsored by Indian Overseas Bank & is jointly owned by the Government of India, Government of Odisha and IOB. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

The Tamil Nadu State Apex Co-operative Bank, also known as TNSC Bank, is an Indian cooperative banking company headquartered in Chennai. It was incorporated in 1905 as an urban cooperative bank. Kaveri Grameena Bank was a Regional Rural Bank established under Regional Rural Banks' Act 1976, was a Scheduled Bank jointly owned by Government of India, State Bank of India(formerly by State Bank of Mysore) and Government of Karnataka, permitted to carry all kinds of banking business. The Bank was operating in 10 Districts of South Karnataka, having its Head Office at Mysore City with Nine Regional Offices at Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Madikeri, Chikmagulur and Ramanagara.

Assam Gramin Vikash Bank is the only regional rural bank of Assam, India. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The bank was formally launched on 12 January 2006 after amalgamation of Pragjyotish Gaonlia Bank, Lakhimi Gaonlia Bank, Cachar Gramin Bank and Subansiri Gaonlia Bank, which were sponsored by erstwhile United Bank of India now Punjab National Bank. As per Government of India directives for forming of state wise Regional Rural Banks Assam Gramin Vikash Bank was further amalgamated with Langpi Dehangi Rural Bank which was sponsored by State Bank of India to form present Assam Gramin Vikash Bank w.e.f 1 April 2019 without changing of the name of the newly formed entity.

Pragathi Gramin Bank was a Regional Rural Bank established under Regional Rural Banks' Act 1976, was a Scheduled Bank jointly owned by Government of India, Canara Bank and Government of Karnataka, permitted to carry all kinds of banking business. The Bank was operating in 9 districts of Karnataka, having its Head Office at Ballari.
