Richard "Richie" Hawtin is a British-Canadian electronic musician and DJ. He became involved with Detroit techno's second wave in the early 1990s, and has been a leading exponent of minimal techno since the mid-1990s. He became known for his recordings under the Plastikman and F.U.S.E. aliases. Under the latter, he released his debut album Dimension Intrusion (1993) as part of Warp's Artificial Intelligence series.
David Banks, known by his stage name DJ Disciple, is an American DJ, house music producer and author from Brooklyn, New York. For much of his early career, he worked in London and was influential in the rise of UK garage music. Stateside, he was considered a cornerstone of New York City's house music scene. Disciple co-wrote the book The Beat, the Scene, the Sound: A DJ's Journey through the Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of House Music in New York City with Henry Kronk.
ZoukOut is an annual dance music festival held in Singapore since 2001. One of Asia's biggest music dance festivals, it is organised by Zouk Singapore. DJs that have performed at ZoukOut include Paul Van Dyk, 2ManyDJS, Masters at Work, Gilles Peterson, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Peter Kruder, James Lavelle, Armin Van Buuren and Stereo MC's.
Sónar is a festival dedicated to music, creativity and technology, founded in Barcelona in 1994 by Ricard Robles, Enric Palau, and Sergi Caballero. The festival has been divided into two parts since its inception: Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night, with a three-day congress, Sónar+D dedicated to Creativity, Technology and Business running concurrently since 2013. Spirit of Burgas was a summer music festival in the city of Burgas, on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. The first edition of the festival took place on 15–17 August 2008 and since then has significantly grown in popularity, becoming one of the most prominent summer festivals in Europe. Among its partners and sponsors are MTV Europe, who aired two specials about the festival in September 2008, as well as Tuborg, Mobiltel, Jack Daniel's, Jacobs, and DSK Bank.
Tier 3 was an influential but short-lived 300-capacity no wave art nightclub in New York. Founded by Hilary Jaeger in 1979, Tier 3 was a major venue in the city's underground music and counterculture post-punk art scene, along with the Mudd Club. Live performances showcased punk rock, no wave, ska, noise music, free jazz, new wave and experimental music. The club was located at 225 West Broadway in the TriBeCa neighborhood of lower Manhattan.
Aires Libres is a free, multidisciplinary music festival created in 2005 in Marseille (France) by the French collective "A L'unisson". Inspired from Les Siestes Electroniques, "Sous la Plage" and" Pelouses électroniques", three events created in Toulouse and Paris two years ago. Aires Libres’s main goal is to showcase electronic music outdoor, and promote various cultural activities for children and their families through visual art and several artistic workshops. Access is free and most Aires Libres events take place in the Summer touring various places with a significant historical heritage in the French department of Provence.
Inox festival was created in 2003 by Marc TAMBON, owner of “La Dune” nightclub in Toulouse, France. The electronic music festival is famous for having hosted DJ's such as Joachim Garraud, Avicii, Sebastien Drums and many others. After the success of the festival, Inox owner created Inox club events in La Dune and changed the club's name into Club Rouge. Due to high demands, Inox Festival expended to Strasbourg in 2009. In 2010 the first Inox Park opened in Paris. The Paris Festival lasted three days and was a success. Since then, Inox has been doing worldwide festivals in places such as Rio de Janeiro.

Bad Bonn Kilbi is an annual, three-day open air music festival in Düdingen, Switzerland since 1991. The festival has a focus on alternative rock music; primarily those related to experimental rock, noise rock and other avant-garde genres. The festival takes place in the last week of May and often has a line up which overlaps with the Primavera Sound festival, (Barcelona) and Villette Sonique festival, (Paris) that also take place on the same weekend.
Marc Houle is a Canadian live act and producer of electronic music. He is considered a live act and not a DJ, since he uses elements of his own productions to create his sets, as well as tracks that he has remixed. Houle came to fame under his first album, Bay of Figs, which was released on Minus. He is most known for being a techno artist, and as part of the core group of artists on Minus before moving on to create his own record label Items & Things with fellow Minus friends, Magda and Troy Pierce.
CNTRL: Beyond EDM was an educational initiative, centred on electronic dance music (EDM), and comprising music production seminars, lessons in the music business and live music performances on a tour of North American universities. Organised by a core team of Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Ean Golden, the tour included many high-profile guest speakers and performers. Their stated aim was "engaging young North American fans of EDM and showing them the roots of the music, the history of a global movement and demonstrating what the future of music technology and performance has the power to become." Partners included Sennheiser, New York DJ school Dubspot and DJTechtools magazine. The CNTRL branding featured a fingerprint/circuitboard logo representing the expression of musicians' individuality through electronics.

Taking place across all six venues at the Opera House, it features a bill of local and international artists, specially commissioned works and the hallmark Lighting of the Sails. It stands as the centrepiece of the Sydney Opera House's contemporary music program.

Released on 20 September 2019 on his Plus 8 records imprint, it consists of 16 heavily remixed tracks from three live performances during his 2019 CLOSE live tour. The set list includes tracks by Charlotte de Witte, Mental Resonance, Ricardo Garduno, Edit Select and Kaiserdisco.
