Waterbury is a village in Dixon County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Sioux City, IA –NE– SD Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 73 at the 2010 census.
Waterbury was established in 1890 when the railroad was extended to that point. [4] Waterbury derives its name from a spring which once provided water for water station. [5]

There were 29 households, of which 34.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.6% were married couples living together, 3.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 10.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 27.6% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
