The Yamaha XV920R is a Japanese motorcycle. It was introduced in 1981, along with the XV750 Virago. In addition to larger engine displacement it featured "standard" styling and technical features, in contrast to the cruiser style of the Virago . This model was geared toward European-style sport touring.
The XV920R had a unique enclosed chain final drive, a large, 8-inch-diameter (200 mm) headlamp, a high-capacity sculpted fuel tank, and rear-set controls and footpegs. Like the Virago, it had a stamped-steel backbone frame, also serving as part of the air-induction system. It had a mono-shock rear suspension, with (air) preload and damper adjustments. The front suspension had air preload adjustment only. [1]
In 1981 (XV920RH) it was offered only in candy metalflake maroon. In 1982 (XV920RJ), the only color offered in the United States was silver with black trim. US sales were discontinued after 1982, with many units still unsold. The rear end styling, with its swingarm-mounted fender (now commonplace), drew much criticism. The bike was also sold in Europe with 980 cc displacement, and called "TR1". [2] European sales were more successful, and continued, with slight styling and color modifications (including a switch to more 'mainstream' rear-end styling), through 1986.
Currently popular with a cafe racer and modified bike builders, because of the V twin engine and monoshock design.

The Yamaha Virago 535 is a motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha Motor Corporation. It is one of several in the Virago line and is positioned as mid-size metric cruiser with an engine displacement of 535 cc (32.6 cu in).
The Yamaha XV1600A is a cruiser-style motorcycle. It is also called the Yamaha Road Star or in Europe the Yamaha Wild Star. It has been produced from 1999 through model Year 2014 when the Roadstar model line was discontinued. The 1999-2003 models were the same 1602 cc naturally aspirated engines. And in 2004 they changed the displacement to 1,670 cc. With a few design changes in 2004, including new tubeless aluminum wheels, a skinnier drive belt and different engine casing color. The Road Star also has a sleeker, sportier brother called the Yamaha Road Star Warrior that had a fuel-injected 1,700 cc engine and had an all-aluminum chassis. The Road Star remained unchanged until 2008 when electronic fuel injection was introduced to the bike. There were certain variations to the Road Star considering different trim and equipment packages. The Road Star was available with a Silverdo trim package which included studded saddle bags, a back rest, studded driver and passenger seats, and a cruiser-style windscreen. The Silverado package changed names to the "Midnight" package with blacked out engine etc. For a few years, the Road Star was also available in an "S" package, which meant more chrome pieces for the buyer.
The Yamaha Virago was Yamaha's first V-twin cruiser motorcycle, and one of the earliest mass-produced motorcycles with a mono-shock rear suspension. Originally sold with a 750 cc (46 cu in) engine in 1981, Yamaha soon added 500 cc (31 cu in) and 920 cubic centimetres (56 cu in) versions.
A sportbike, or sports bike, is a motorcycle optimized for speed, acceleration, braking, and cornering on paved roads, typically at the expense of comfort and fuel economy by comparison with other motorcycles. Soichiro Honda wrote in the owner's manual of the 1959 Honda CB92 Benly Super Sport that, "Primarily, essentials of the motorcycle consists in the speed and the thrill," while Cycle World's Kevin Cameron says that, "A sportbike is a motorcycle whose enjoyment consists mainly from its ability to perform on all types of paved highway – its cornering ability, its handling, its thrilling acceleration and braking power, even its speed."

The Yamaha Vision (XZ550) is a 550 cc 4 stroke 70° liquid cooled DOHC V-twin shaft-driven sport touring motorcycle produced in 1982-1983. With a range of innovative technology for its class, nimble handling, and bold styling, it was widely celebrated by the motorcycle press on its introduction as a bike ahead of its time.
The Yamaha FJR1300A and FJR1300AE/AS are sport touring motorcycles made by Yamaha Motor Company. Both models have a 1,298 cc inline-four engine. The AE/AS model has an electronically controlled clutch and gear shifting system called YCC-S. The clutch and transmissions of the AE/AS models are identical to that of the standard FJR model.
The Yamaha XVS 1100 DragStar, sold as the V-Star 1100 in North America, is a motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha Motor Corporation. It comes in two versions, the XVS1100 Custom and the XVS1100A Classic, the former a more modern style, and the latter a more classic style, with rounder edges and is 13 kg (29 lb) heavier. The seat height is slightly lower on the Custom.

The Yamaha FZ750 is a sports motorcycle produced by Yamaha Motor Corporation between 1985 and 1991. The FZ750 is notable for several reasons, perhaps the most radical being the 5-valve cylinder head with a radial arrangement. This became something of a Yamaha trademark. The FZ750 would be the first bike in the Genesis design concept.
The Yamaha TX500 is a two-cylinder standard motorcycle built by Yamaha and sold in 1973 and 1974. Early models closely resembled the Triumph Bonneville in style. In 1975 the bike was renamed XS500 and then continued to be updated until 1978 when sales ended in the USA. In Europe, the model was available through 1980.
The Yamaha TDM is a sport touring motorcycle built by Yamaha Motor Company between 1991 and 2011.
The Triumph Tiger Trail was a motorcycle model manufactured by Triumph Motorcycles at the Meriden factory. The Tiger Trail was made from 1981 to 1982 in both 750 cc (TR7T) and 650 cc (TR65T) capacities, and under 180 examples were built. Emission regulations precluded export to the USA but otherwise the model was available to all Triumph's other markets particularly in many British Commonwealth nations and western Europe.
The Yamaha MT-01 is a MT series motorcycle made by Yamaha from 2005 to 2012, available in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, India, Japan and parts of North America. But Yamaha Motor Corp. USA declined to import it to the United States, citing a small market for this style of motorcycle. It has unconventional features with a cruiser-style 1,670 cc (102 cu in) air-cooled, overhead valve V-twin engine but sportbike or naked bike style frame and suspension. The engine is derived from the Yamaha Warrior XV1700 and modified to suit application in the MT-01, while the forks and brakes are derived from the 2004 to 2005 Yamaha R1.

The KTM 950 Adventure is a Dual-sport motorcycle that was produced in Austria by KTM. The bike is powered by a liquid cooled, four-stroke, DOHC 942 cc 75° V-twin engine, producing around 102 bhp (76 kW).
The Yamaha Tracer 900 is a sport touring motorcycle first offered in 2015. The 3-cylinder crossplane engine comes from the MT-09.
The V 85 TT is an Enduro motorcycle from Moto Guzzi, which belongs to the middleweight adventure bike category. The motorcycle was announced end of 2017 and entered production in spring 2019. It is supposed to combine classic styling with modern equipments and it targets road and light off-road use. This is reflected by the model name, where "TT" stands for "Tutto Terreno", which is Italian for "all terrain".
