The 1989 African Cup of Champions Clubs was the 25th edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CAF region (Africa), the African Cup of Champions Clubs. It determined the 1989 club champion of association football in Africa.
Raja CA from Morocco won that final, and became for the first time CAF club champion. [1]

Mouloudia Club Oranais, known as Mouloudia d'Oran, commonly referred to as MC Oran for short, is a football club based in Oran, Algeria. Founded on 1 January 1917 and formed again on 14 May 1946, the club was known as Mouloudia Chaâbia Ouahrania from 1971 to 1977, Mouloudia Pétroliers d'Oran from 1977 to 1987 and Mouloudia d'Oran from 1987 to 1989. The club colours are red and white. Their home stadium, Ahmed Zabana Stadium, has a capacity of 40,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

The match was played at the Cairo Stadium, in Cairo, Egypt, to determine the winner of the 2002 CAF Champions League. The final was contested by Zamalek and Raja CA, making it an all-Arabic club final for the fifth time in the history of the competition. The game was won by Zamalek 1–0 by Abdelhamid's Goal, after a 0–0 draw in Casablanca.
