The European Race Walking Team Championships is a race walking event established in 1996, and organised by the European Athletic Association. In 1996, the team scores were calculated by aggregating the points awarded to the first three finishers. From 1998, team scores were calculated by aggregating the positions of the first three finishers (seniors) or two finishers (juniors).

Athletes must always keep in contact with the ground and the supporting leg must remain straight until the raised leg passes it.
The Dudinská Päťdesiatka or Dudinská 50 is an annual racewalking competition held in March on the streets of Dudince, Slovakia. The primary focus of the competition is a men's 50 kilometres race walk, from which the event takes its name. There are also two 20 kilometres race walks, one for men and one for women, as well as a variety of shorter races for younger athletes.
José Ignacio Díaz Velázquez is a Spanish racewalker. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 50 kilometres walk but did not finish the race.
