The 1st annual installment of NFL Honors was an awards show presented by the National Football League to salute the best players and plays from the 2011 NFL season. The event was held at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 4, 2012 and was hosted by Alec Baldwin. [2] The show aired on NBC and recorded a 2.2 rating with 3.524 million viewers. The winner is chosen by votes from a nationwide panel of sportswriters who regularly follow the NFL. Multiple-time awardees include Marshall Faulk and Earl Campbell, both of whom won the award three times, each consecutively. Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, Tom Brady, Terrell Davis, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning have each won the award twice. Campbell is the only player to win the award as a rookie, doing so in 1978. Warren Moon and Priest Holmes are the only undrafted players to win the award. The award is currently held by running back Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers, who received it for the 2023 NFL season after being just the third player in NFL history to post more than 2000 scrimmage yards in a season for two different franchises.

Mark Tauscher is an American former professional football player who spent his entire 11-year career as an offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers. Tauscher was selected by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl XLV with them over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He now provides studio commentary for NFL coverage on Sky Sports in Britain.

Randall Ladonald Cobb II is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats, earning All-American honors in 2010. Cobb was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft. He also played one season each for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and New York Jets.

The 3rd Annual NFL Honors was an awards presentation by the National Football League honoring its best players from the 2013 NFL season. It was held on February 1, 2014, at Radio City Music Hall. Alec Baldwin returned for the third year to host the show. The show aired on Fox. Unlike previous NFL seasons, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its HOF Class of 2014 inductees during this award presentation.

The 4th Annual NFL Honors was the awards presentation by the National Football League honoring its best players and other individuals from the 2014 NFL season. It was held on January 31, 2015, and aired on NBC in the United States. Seth Meyers hosted the show. For the second year, the newest Pro Football Hall of Fame class was announced and introduced during the show with the Class of 2015 appearing on stage at Symphony Hall in Phoenix. Unlike the previous three NFL Honors presentations, the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year Award was not presented; although Aaron Rodgers was announced as the winner of the 2014 season award.

The 5th Annual NFL Honors was the awards presentation by the National Football League honoring its best players from the 2015 NFL season. It was held on February 6, 2016, and aired on CBS in the United States at 9:00 PM EST. Comedian Conan O'Brien hosted the show.

The Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player Award is presented annually by the Associated Press (AP) to a player in the National Football League (NFL) deemed to have been the "most valuable" in that year's regular season. While there have been many selectors of NFL MVPs in the past, today the MVP award presented by the AP is considered the de facto official NFL MVP award and the most prestigious. Since 2011, the NFL has held the annual NFL Honors ceremony to recognize the winner of each year's AP MVP award, along with other AP awards, such as the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year and AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The most recent AP NFL MVP is quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

The 2019 NFL Honors was an awards presentation by the National Football League that honored its best players from the 2018 NFL season. It was held on February 2, 2019 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and pre–recorded for same–day broadcast on CBS in the United States at 9:00 PM/8:00 PM CT. Five finalists went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Steve Harvey hosted the ceremony.

The Associated Press NFL Rookie of the Year Award is an annual award given to the top offensive and defensive first-year players in the National Football League (NFL) as adjudged by the Associated Press (AP). Winners are selected by a nationwide panel of 50 members of the AP who regularly cover the league. The AP has chosen an offensive rookie of the year since 1957 and a defensive rookie of the year since 1967.

The 10th Annual NFL Honors was an awards presentation by the National Football League that honored its players from the 2020 NFL season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a multi-site ceremony, with two sites being used in the host city of Tampa, Florida; the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and host stadium Raymond James Stadium, and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) first gave a National Football League Most Valuable Player Award in 1966 to Bart Starr. After an eight-season hiatus, the award returned in 1975. As with other PFWA awards, any member of the organisation is eligible to vote.

The 11th Annual NFL Honors was an awards presentation by the National Football League that honored its players from the 2021 NFL season. It was held on February 10, 2022, at YouTube Theater in the SoFi Entertainment District in Los Angeles. Keegan-Michael Key hosted the NFL honors for his second time. This is the first presentation where it was held on a Thursday instead of a Saturday and was aired for the first time on ESPN/ ABC and NFL Network, and this was the first time that all of the following networks have aired the ceremony, as that year's Super Bowl broadcaster, NBC, carried the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The 13th Annual NFL Honors was an awards presentation by the National Football League that honored its players from the 2023 NFL season. It was held on February 8, 2024, at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada. CBS aired this year's ceremony along with NFL Network. Keegan-Michael Key hosted, making him his third time to host the presentation, making him only the third person to host the ceremony three times.
