The 2003 Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix was the first round of the 2003 MotoGP Championship. It took place on the weekend of 4–6 April 2003 at Suzuka. The meeting was overshadowed by the death of Daijiro Kato in the MotoGP race, after he crashed at 130R and hit the barrier at high speed in the ensuing Casio Triangle. Since the accident, Suzuka has been removed from the MotoGP calendar, with the Japanese Grand Prix having been movied to Twin Ring Motegi, the previous home of the Pacific Grand Prix.

Despite taking his fourth win of the season and the second consecutive win after winning the previous round at Phillip Island seven days ago, Márquez' 2nd place-finish was enough to mathematically eliminate Binder's hopes of winning his second title overall in his career after previously winning the 2016 Moto3 World Championship due to an uncatchable margin of Márquez by 28 points over Binder with one race to go.
The 2019 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix was the nineteenth and final round of the 2019 MotoGP season. It was held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia on 17 November 2019.
