The Eastern Conference is one of Major League Soccer's two conferences, along with the Western Conference. The 2020 Inter Miami CF season was the first season in the history of Inter Miami CF and the 17th season of first-division club soccer in South Florida. The 2020 Atlanta United FC season was the fourth season of Atlanta United FC's existence, and the twelfth year that a professional soccer club from Atlanta, Georgia competed in the top division of American soccer. Atlanta United played their home games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Like the 2020 MLS season, the club also played several of their home games at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey due to scheduling conflicts with Yankee Stadium and its backup stadium, Citi Field.
