The Bangladesh Premier League 2022, also known as BPL Season 8 or Bangabandhu BPL 2022 presented by BBS Cables and powered by Walton (for sponsorship reasons), was the eighth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top-level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). [1] The season was scheduled to start from March 2021. [2] However, the tournament was postponed and rescheduled to be held from 21 January to 18 February 2022. [3] [4]
A franchise from Barisal was announced as taking part since Barisal Bulls played in 2016–17 Bangladesh Premier League. [5] Comilla Victorians returned after the hiatus of one season. [6] On 12 December 2021, all six teams were announced, with the exclusion of Rangpur Rangers and the defending champion Rajshahi Royals. [7]
In the final match, Comilla Victorians defeated Fortune Barishal by 1 run to win their third BPL title. Comilla Victorians' bowling Alrounder Sunil Narine won Player of the match for his all-round performances and Fortune Barishal captain Shakib Al Hasan won Player of the Tournament award for his all-round performances. [8] Will Jacks was the leading run scorer in the tournament with 414 runs while Mustafizur Rahman was the leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets.

The 2010 National Cricket League Twenty20 tournament in Bangladesh, played in April 2010, was the sole edition of a now-defunct Twenty20 league involving the teams in the National Cricket League (NCL). The tournament was initiated by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It included six teams representing the divisions of Bangladesh. It was a limited success and has effectively been replaced by the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The tournament was won by the Rajshahi Rangers who defeated the Kings of Khulna by 6 wickets in the final at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, the winning team's Qaiser Abbas being named "Man of the Match".

However, the tournament was delayed by five days and started on 11 December 2019 and ended on 17 January 2020, with the opening ceremony held on 8 December 2019.
The 2020–21 Bangabandhu T20 Cup was a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was played by five teams, during November and December 2020. In November 2020, more than 100 players began to undertake fitness tests, ahead of a players' draft for the tournament. The players' draft took place on 12 November 2020, with the tournament starting in the third week of November. Two days later, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the full schedule for the tournament.

The Bangladesh Premier League 2023, also known as BPL Season 9 or Ispahani BPL 2023 Powered by Minister Group was the ninth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the top-level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). In July 2022, after the International Cricket Council accommodated the month of January and February for this league in its Future Tours Programme, the BCB announced the schedule of the BPL for the next three seasons. Accordingly, the ninth season was scheduled to be held from 5 January to 16 February in 2023. BCB also decided to increase the number of teams to 7 and to sell the franchise rights for 3 years from this season.
