Noh Yeong-Jin, better known as Gamsu, is a South Korean professional League of Legends player. He began his professional esports career with League of Legends, playing as a top laner for several teams, such as Fnatic, Team Dignitas, and Samsung Galaxy Blue. Noh transitioned to professional Overwatch in 2016, competing for CONBOX in the OGN APEX Series. With the inception of the Overwatch League in 2017, Noh signed with the Boston Uprising before being traded to the Shanghai Dragons a season later. After one season with the Dragons, Noh signed with the Dallas Fuel. In late 2020, Noh retired from competitive Overwatch to pursue a career in League of Legends again. He played on 100 Thieves' academy teams until he was signed with Dignitas in mid-2022.

The Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends is the top level of professional League of Legends competition in Brazil. There are ten teams in the league. Each annual season of play is divided into two splits, marked Split 1 and Split 2, both consisting of eighteen rounds of round-robin tournament play, which then conclude with play-off tournaments between the top six teams. The winners of each split qualifies for the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship.

The 2020 LEC season was the second year of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends, following its rebranding in late 2018. The spring regular season began on 24 January and was originally scheduled to conclude on 21 March; however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the season was temporarily suspended on 13 March. Four days later, it was announced that all remaining LEC matches for the spring regular season would be played online, beginning on 20 March.

The 2022 LCK season was the 11th season of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), a South Korean professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends. The season was divided into two splits: Spring and Summer. The Spring Split began on 12 January and culminated with the Spring Split Final on 2 April 2022. The Summer Split began on 15 June and culminated with the Summer Split Final on 28 August 2022.

The 2023 Mid-Season Invitational was the eighth Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), a Riot Games-organised tournament for League of Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena video game. The tournament was the culmination of the 2023 Spring Split and the first interregional competition of Season 13.

The 2024 League of Legends World Championship is an upcoming esports tournament for the multiplayer online battle arena video game League of Legends. It is the fourteenth iteration of the League of Legends World Championship, an annual international tournament organised by the game's developer, Riot Games. The tournament will be held from 25 September to 2 November in Berlin, Paris, and London. It will be the fifth time Europe has hosted the tournament, having held the event in 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2021. Twenty teams will qualify based on placement within their regional leagues and results gained in the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

The 2024 Mid-Season Invitational was the ninth Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), a Riot Games-organised tournament for League of Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena video game. The tournament was hosted in Chengdu, China, from May 1 to 19, 2024. All stages of the tournament were played at the Chengdu Financial City Performing Arts Center.
