Aadhi Pamba

Aadhi Pamba is a branch of the Pamba River, the third longest river in the South Indian state of Kerala. It flows through the outskirts of Chengannur, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. [1] Varattar has regained its lost glory after the rejuvenation works and because of which water flowing from Koyipram Varalthodu, Poovannappuzhathodu, Poongayilthodu, and Chennathu Puthenthodu through Idanaadu reached Aadipamba, near Panchavadi. Manimala River or Manimalayar is a 92km long river which flows through South and Central Kerala. The river used to be wrongly considered as a tributary of Pamba River before satellite maps became popular, but this was proved incorrect. Manimala does not flow into the Pamba, instead a distributary of the Pamba river flows into the Manimala river at Kallunkal, later branches out again from Manimala at Nedumpuram and flows through Niranam, Thalavady, Edathua, Changankary, Champakulam, Nedumudy, Chennamkary, and finally Kainakary and then empties into the Vembanad lake. This branch again links with Manimala river at Chennankary in a short, but broad connection known as Munnattumukham.

Azhuthayar is a tributary of the Pamba River, the third longest river in the South Indian state of Kerala. It originates from Peerumedu, flows through dense forests and reaches Koruthodu. From there it forms the boundary between Kottayam and Idukki districts. It then crosses Sabarimala traditional trekking path at Kalaketti area before joining with Pamba river at Kanamala(Pambavalley). Like its parent river, it is also closely related to the legend of Lord Ayyappan, a popular Hindu deity worshipped mainly in Kerala. It flows through a place also named Azhutha, which is on the Sabarimala trek route from Erumeli to Sabarimala. The river Pamba, ultimately flows around 180 kilometres (112 mi) through towns and villages Ranni, Cherukolpuzha, Kozhencherry, Maramon, Aranmula, Chengannur, Parumala, Neerettupuram, Kavalam, Nedumudi and Thakazhy before joining Vembanad lake.

Kuttemperoor River is a 12 km long revived river which acts as a tributary of both the Pamba and the Achankovil rivers in the Indian state of Kerala. It forms a link between the two rivers.The river has its northern end in the Pamba and the southern end in the Achenkovil river. It flows through the towns of Parumala, Budhanoor and Ennakkad. When the water level at the Pamba is higher it flows from Pamba to Achankovil and when the Achenkovil river has a higher water level it flows from Achankovil to Pamba.

Varattar is a branch of the Pamba River, the third longest river in the South Indian state of Kerala.It is a 9.5 km long water channel that in the past connected and linked the Pampa to the Manimala River. It flows through the outskirts of Chengannur, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. Its a perennial freshwater source linking two rivers in Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts. But greatly diminished instream flow due to encroachments, sand mining and weed growth have severely affected the size and strength of Varattar and it became a river with no water.

Kanamala Bridge is a concrete bridge in Kanamala, Kerala that connects Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts through Pamba River. The bridge was opened for public on 23 December 2014.

Utharappalli River or locally called as Varattar is one of the longest interlinking rivers in Kerala, India. It is tributary of both the Pamba River and the Achankoil River. It Start from achankoil and ends in Pampa.

Azhutha Dam is a small diversion dam built on the Azhutha river which is a tributary of the Pamba River, at Azhutha in Peerumed Grama Panchayat of Idukki District, Kerala, India. It is a small concrete gravity dam that is only 72 metres (236 ft) long and 14 metres (46 ft) high. It acts mainly as a diversion dam to supply water to the Idukki Dam. Azhutha dam is constructed as an augmentation dam for the Idukki Hydro Electric Project. Construction of the project started in 1987 and was expected to be commissioned in 1991. But the project overrun and was only partially commissioned in June 1998. The year of completion was 2007. The release of the water from the dam is to Azhutha river and it flows through Ranni and Ayroor taluks.

Perunthenaruvi Weir is a divertion dam built across Pamba river at villages of Naranammoozhi and Vechoochira in Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, India. Perumthenaruvi SHEP 6 MW (2×3) is a run- of- the- river scheme in river Pamba, and the weir is a part of this scheme. This envisages the utilization of water from 442 Km catchment of Pamba and Azhutha river for electricity generation under a net head of 18.00 m. The power house is located on the left bank of Pamba river. The weir is a concrete gravity type with a height of 10.93 metres (35.9 ft) and a length of 227.50 metres (746.4 ft).

Kochu Pamba Weir is a diversion dam constructed across Pamba river in Seethathode village of Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, India. It is one of the five dams which are parts of Sabarigiri HydroElectric Project. These are Pamba dam, Kakki dam, Anathode dam, Gavi dam and Kochu Pamba weir Sabarigiri Hydro Electric Project is the second largest hydro electric project of Kerala and is located in Pathanamthitta district. This weir is constructed as a part of Sabarigiri Augmentation Scheme. Water from this reservoir is pumped in to the Pamba reservoir through a pump house located at the downstream of Pamba dam. Taluks through which release flow are Ranni, Konni, Kozhencherry, Thiruvalla, Chengannur, Kuttanadu, Mavelikara and Karthikappally.
