Abdiaziz District (Somali : Degmada Cabdicasiis), also spelled Abdi Asis District, is a district in the southeastern Banaadir region of Somalia. It includes a part of the old town of Mogadishu.

Banaadir is an administrative region (gobol) in southeastern Somalia. It covers the same area as the city of Mogadishu, which serves as the capital. It is bordered to the northwest by the Shabelle river, and to the southeast by the Indian Ocean. The Darod is a Somali clan. The forefather of this clan was Sheikh Abdirahman bin Isma'il al-Jabarti, more commonly known as Darood. The clan primarily settles the apex of the Horn of Africa and its peripheries, the Somali hinterlands up to Oromia, and both sides of the Kenya-Somalia border.

Bashir Abdi is a Somali-born Belgian athlete who specializes in long-distance running. He won bronze medals in the marathon at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the marathon at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene. In doing so, Abdi became both the first ever Belgian world championship medal winner at the marathon and the first Belgian male athlete to win an individual medal at both the Olympic Games and the Athletics World Championships. Bokolmayo is one of the 93 districts in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. The district is located in Liben Zone and found in the middle of Filtu, and Dolo Odo, the biggest town of the Liben Zone. Bokolmayo is the district that host the most refugees in Ethiopia -- nearly 200,000. These refugees are Somalis that fled from the civil war in Somalia around early 2009. There are five refugee camps in the Liben zone, three of which are found in Bokolmayo. These refugee camps include:

Hamza Abdi Barre is a Somali politician currently serving as the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia. He was nominated on 15 June 2022, by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and he was endorsed by parliament on June 25, 2022. Hamza is also a parliamentarian elected to the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia on 28 December 2021, representing the Afmadow constituency of Middle Juba.
