He is also president of the record label Fool's Gold, which was founded in 2007, and is credited for developing the careers of artists such as Kid Cudi, Danny Brown, and Flosstradamus. The album peaked at number 41 on the UK Albums Chart. The album includes all Armand Van Helden biggest hits. For the Australian release of the album it came with a bonus DVD featuring eleven music videos.

American recording artist CeCe Peniston entered the music industry as a backup vocalist on the Overweight Pooch's album Female Preacher, released in July 1991 on A&M Records. Shortly before that, she was featured on the B-side to 12-inch single "I Can't Take the Power" by male rapper Marvelous JC. Besides her vocal performance on the Pooch's only charting track, "I Like It", she was given a credit for co-writing two compositions; "Kickin' Da Blues" and the titular "Female Preacher". Soon after, the singer pursued a solo career. By now, Peniston has released four studio albums including one as a member of The Sisters of Glory, two remix collections, one live album, four compilations and one live extended play (EP). Her singles discography features twenty-nine physical releases, twenty-one digital-only, seven promotional recordings and twenty-six other appearances; regardless of their format. "Anyway" is the debut single by American–Canadian DJ duo Duck Sauce. It was released in the United Kingdom on October 25, 2009 by digital download. It peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart, number 1 on the UK Dance Chart and number 1 on the UK Indie Chart. On October 9, 2009, the 1970s style music video was uploaded on YouTube.

"The Funk Phenomena" is a single from Armand Van Helden's debut studio album Old School Junkies: The Album (1996). The song uses samples from "How High" by Method Man & Redman, "Who Is He " by Creative Source and "Don't Throw My Love Around" by Cooly's Hot Box.

Elena Ferretti, better known as Sophie or Rose, is an Italian Eurobeat and Italo disco singer. She has performed and recorded for many record labels, under many aliases. Her music was produced by various well-known Italian producers, namely Giacomo Maiolini, Mauro Farina, Sergio Dall'Ora and Giancarlo Pasquini. She often collaborated with Clara Moroni, who wrote many of her compositions. Moroni also did most of the backing vocals/choirs for Ferretti's songs for Time Records. Together with Moroni, she was a member of the duo Gipsy & Queen. In 2011, she recorded and released an Italian folk song entitled "Io Libera". Among her best known hits is the song "My World".

"Do You Want It Right Now" is a song by American singer Siedah Garrett from the 1985 film Fast Forward. It was a bigger hit for Degrees of Motion in 1991. It has also been recorded by Taylor Dayne for her debut studio album, Tell It to My Heart (1988). A lyric sample of it was also used in Gat Decor's song "Passion", as well as in Armand Van Helden's 2007 hit "I Want Your Soul".

Canadian DJ and producer A-Trak has released seven full-length DJ mixtapes, one EP, and dozens of singles of original music as a solo artist; he has remixed hundreds of tracks as a DJ. A collaborator since the beginning of his career, A-Trak has focused on co-producing music with other artists since the early 2000s and has been part of musical groups The Brothers Macklovitch (2020–present), Duck Sauce (2009–present), Low Pros (2014), DJ crew The Allies (1998–2000), and hip hop crew Obscure Disorder (1997–2000).
