The 1932 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the X Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event that was held from July 30 to August 14, 1932, in Los Angeles, California, United States.
Lauri Aleksanteri Lehtinen was a Finnish long-distance runner, winner of a controversial 5000 m race at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Alexander "Alex" S. Wilson was a Canadian sprinter who competed in both the 1928 Summer Olympics and the 1932 Summer Olympics. He was born in Montreal and died in Mission, Texas, United States.

Divers performed four compulsory dives – running plain header forward, standing backward spring and forward somersault with pike, standing straight isander, standing double somersault backward with tuck – and four dives of the competitor's choice for a total of eight dives. James Crapo Cristy, Jr. was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Cristy received a bronze medal for his third-place finish in the men's 1500-meter freestyle, recording a time of 19:39.5 in the event final. He also swam in the men's 1500 metre freestyle at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
Russell D. Allen was an American cyclist who competed at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. There he placed fifth in the Men's Team Pursuit, 4,000 metres event alongside teammates Eddie Testa, Ruggero Berti and Harold Ade. Born in Orwell, Ohio, his family moved around several times during his childhood, until they settled in California, where his father died. He was athletically active throughout school and took up an interest in cycling during his junior year of high school. After competing at the 1932 Olympics, he raced professionally until World War II. Allen served as an officer and teacher during the war and found work as an automobile salesman afterwards. He also volunteered at the 1984 Summer Olympics and remained athletically active into his 90s. From 2006 until his death he was the oldest living American Olympic cyclist.
The men's 100 metres sprint event at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, United States, were held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 31 and August 1. The photo finish final was won by American Eddie Tolan in a world record equalling time of 10.38 seconds. Teammate Ralph Metcalfe won the silver and was credited with the same time as Tolan. Defending Olympic champion and world record holder Percy Williams of Canada did not advance past the semifinals.
