Short track speed skating is a form of competitive ice speed skating. In competitions, multiple skaters skate on an oval ice track with a length of 111.12 metres (364.6 ft). The rink itself is 60 metres (200 ft) long by 30 metres (98 ft) wide, which is the same size as an Olympic-sized figure skating rink and an international-sized ice hockey rink. Short track speed skating is the sister sport to long track speed skating and the cousin sport to inline speed skating.

It is named after the Royal Rumble match, a battle royal whose participants enter at timed intervals. The event is held in late January, the week before the Super Bowl. After the initial event was broadcast as a television special on USA Network, the Royal Rumble has been shown on pay-per-view (PPV) since the 1989 event. It also became available to stream on the WWE Network in 2015 and will become available to stream on Peacock in 2022. It is one of WWE's five biggest events of the year, along with WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank, referred to as the "Big Five".

WWF Fully Loaded was an annual July pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation, a Connecticut-based professional wrestling promotion. First held in 1998, the first edition of Fully Loaded was an In Your House pay-per-view. The 1999 edition was simply named Fully Loaded as WWF dropped the In Your House branding after February 1999. Fully Loaded was held for one more year in 2000. In 2001, the event's pay-per-view slot was replaced by the one-off Invasion, which was replaced by Vengeance in 2002.

The World Senior Teams Championship is one of the competitions held as part of the World Bridge Championships. This event was initiated in 1994 and is held every four years. It is not necessary that all team members be from the same country. Prior to 2005 all members of each team had to be at least 55 years of age. The World Bridge Federation (WBF) has decided that, as from 2005, the minimum age for a player to be recognized as Senior will be increasing one year per year, until it reaches 60 years in 2010. The decision ensures that 55-year-olds who participated in a senior event in 2003 will never become ex-Seniors.

The event usually takes place in April with very few exceptions in place of the promotion's regular Friday Night Super Viernes series of shows. Detailed results of a number of older events have not been found and in some cases no results or planned matches have been found documented, leading only to the knowledge that an event probably took place, but no confirmation of date or other details were found. The most recent show was the 63. Aniversario de Arena México show that took place on April 26, 2019. Up until 1991 CMLL operated under the name Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL) or some times as NWA-EMLL, to promote their association with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) that ended in 1991 and prompted the name change.
