Bandar Putra Permai is a rapidly developing new town in Seri Kembangan, Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. It encompasses areas from Taman Desaminium, Taman Equine, Taman Dato' Demang, Taman Suria Tropika, Taman Lestari Permai, Taman Prima Tropika, Alam Sanctuary, Taman Lestari Perdana, Pinggiran Putra, Pusat Bandar Putra Permai, Kota Perdana, Puncak Jalil and Taman Lestari Putra (adjacent to Saujana Puchong). Bandar Putra Permai is located near Seri Kembangan, Putrajaya and Puchong. [1] Most of the residents are originally of Chinese descent, but an increasing number of Malays live there.

Location

The Bandar Putra Permai area in Seri Kembangan is under the administration of the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ). This area is located near the federal administrative centre in Putrajaya, Bandar Kinrara, Sepang, Cyberjaya, Kajang, Puchong and approximately 27 km from Kuala Lumpur.

Function

Seri Kembangan is a business centre due to the presence of various shopping complexes such as The Mines Shopping Mall, AEON Taman Equine, Giant Hypermarket Seri Kembangan and South City Plaza. Besides, it has become an education hub by establishing the Malaysia Australia International School (AISM) on Jalan Anggerik, Mines Wellness City, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Alice Smith School is also located here. Every year, the International Agricultural, Horticultural and Agro-Tourism Exhibition (MAHA) is held at the Malaysia Agriculture Exposition Park (MAEPS) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Industry, which has attracted many visitors and popularized Bandar Putra Permai.

Public facilities

There are various ways to get here, including via the MRT Putrajaya Line's Putra Permai MRT station or Taman Equine MRT station. Rapid KL buses 540 (from Jalan Putra Permai 1, Putra Permai to Hub Lebuh Pudu) and 541 (Jalan Putra Permai 1, Putra Permai to Bandar Kinrara 5 LRT Station) also pass through the township. The construction of highways can speed up travel to this area as well as connect it to other cities such as Puchong, Kajang, and Putrajaya. The highways available in this area include the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), the KL-Putrajaya Expressway (MEX), the Sungai Besi Expressway (BESRAYA) and the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE).
