Commercial performance

The song has charted in multiple countries worldwide, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. In Australia, the song became a commercial success, reaching the top five within the ARIA Charts whilst spending more than 20 weeks within the top 50. It has also been certified 4× Platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). [10]

In the United States, the song entered the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart at number four due to strong digital downloads. However, on the issue date of March 3, 2012, the song debuted at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100. [11] It since reached a peak of number 72 and spent more than 20 weeks on the chart. It has sold over one million copies in the US as of January 2013. [12] In the United Kingdom, the song reached a peak of number 24 and spent a total of 16 weeks inside the UK top 40.

<i>Bangarang</i> (EP) 2011 EP by Skrillex

Bangarang is the fourth EP by American electronic music producer Skrillex. It was released on December 23, 2011, via Beatport while being released on other digital retailers on December 27, 2011. It was released on January 24, 2012, as a physical CD. It was announced via Skrillex's Twitter page on December 12, 2011, that the album was completed, while the release date was also announced on December 21. The record is mostly a collection of songs that have been previously performed during The Mothership Tour. It features collaborations with the Doors, Sirah, Wolfgang Gartner, 12th Planet, Kill the Noise and Ellie Goulding. Musically, Bangarang has multiple influences of electro, dubstep and techno, while also incorporating elements of eurodance, drum and bass, rap rock, experimental rock and ska. It features syncopated rhythmic build-ups, technical breakdowns and "chopped-up" vocal hooks, as well as multiple vocal samples. An orchestral song was also featured as a bonus track on the iTunes edition.

"Kyoto" is a song by American electronic music producer Skrillex featuring Sirah, taken from his fourth EP as Skrillex, Bangarang. Musically, the song has multiple influences of drum and bass, dubstep and electro house, while also having notable elements of hip hop music and metal music, using "heavy, distorted guitar rhythms" within its composition. The song received generally mixed reviews from music critics, with some criticizing its use of formula in comparison to his previous material. Due to strong digital downloads after the EP's release, the song charted in several countries worldwide, including Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and United States.
