History

In 1995 the Government of Queensland put a number of regional bus networks up for tender. Thames Transit proprietor Harry Blundred successfully bid for a number of the operations. Trading as Sunbus, Blundred also took over the provision of school services in these areas.

Blundred was not particularly interested in the school bus operations and in 1997 these were sold to Stagecoach. In 2002 Stagecoach sold its Australian operations with the Sunshine Coast operations passing to Northern Territory bus operator Buslink. The business of Gladstone Bus & Coach was later purchased.

In July 2008 Calliope Coaches was purchased and integrated into the Gladstone operation. [1]

In November 2018 Buslink was purchased by ComfortDelGro Australia. [2] [3]

Fleet

As at May 2018, the fleet consisted of 158 buses. [4] Fleet livery is white with blue stripes. On the Sunshine Coast, this is replaced by the TransLink livery of white body, green ends, a green and blue wavy stripe down each side and the TransLink logo toward the back.

Depots

Depots are operated in Caloundra, Coolum, Gladstone, Kunda Park and Noosaville.
