Chris Curtis (born 17 March 1994) [1] [2] is a British Labour Party politician serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Milton Keynes North since 2024. [3] [4]
Curtis is from Milton Keynes. He graduated from the University of Exeter in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Politics. [5]
He is a theme park enthusiast. [6]
Curtis is a pollster by profession and worked as a Political Research Manager for YouGov. [7] He was a political researcher for them in 2017. [8] He was later Head of Political Polling at Opinium Research. [9]
In 2022,he alleged his former employer had stopped him from publishing the findings of a survey following a TV debate during the 2017 election campaign. [10] He clarified his position after YouGov founder Nadhim Zahawi was forced to deny he had wielded any influence. [11] Curtis also worked for think tank Labour Together. [12]
Curtis voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill,which proposes to legalise assisted suicide,in November 2024. [13]
In November 2024,Curtis was appointed co-chair of the Labour Growth Group,an influential caucus of pro-growth Labour MPs. [14] Since taking the post he has made a series of high-profile interventions on economic policy and the cost-of-living crisis. [15] [16]
