Naushabah Parveen Khan [1] is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gillingham and Rainham since 2024. [2]
Khan attended Fort Pitt Grammar School and Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the University of Birmingham in 2007. She went on to complete a graduate diploma in Law at BPP Law School in 2013. [3]
Khan had previously ran unsuccessfully as the Labour candidate in Rochester and Strood during the 2014 by-election and the eventual 2015 general election. In 2024,she was elected as the MP for Gillingham and Rainham defeating incumbent Conservative MP Rehman Chishti.
Paul Gordon Clark is a British former Labour Party politician and who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gillingham from 1997 to 2010. During his time in government,Clark served as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Derry Irvine,Charles Falconer,John Prescott,and Ed Balls,before being promoted in 2008 to the role of Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport. At the 2010 general election Clark was defeated by the Conservative Party candidate Rehman Chishti in the newly formed constituency of Gillingham and Rainham.
