Peter Edwin "Ed" Wood (born March 1, 1968) is the former Chief Designer for the Williams Formula One team. [1]
In 1987 he became a mechanic working on F1 motorcycles, Superbikes and MotoGP until 1990 when he went on to the TWR Jaguar Group C and Le Mans cars for one year. After picking up his two degrees he became a R&D Engineer for Ferrari till 2000 where he went to Renault F1 as the Senior Development Engineer. In 2003 he became Chief Designer for Prodrive until joining Williams as Chief Designer in March 2006, leaving the team in May 2018. [1] His role was to co-ordinate the design process of the team's car.
Wood attended the University of Manchester between 1991 and 1995, to study for a mechanical engineering degree. Upon achieving this, he then relocated to the University of Oxford to study for a doctorate in engineering science between 1995 and 1998. [1]
Wood lives with his wife Wendy and their two children, in Witney, Oxfordshire.
Sir Patrick Michael Head, FREng is a British motorsport executive who is the co-founder and former Engineering Director of the Williams Formula One team. For 27 years from 1977 Head was technical director at Williams Grand Prix Engineering, and responsible for many innovations within Formula One. Head oversaw the design and construction of Williams cars until May 2004 when his role was handed over to Sam Michael.

Adrian Martin Newey, is a British Formula One engineer. He is the chief technical officer of the Red Bull Racing F1 team. Newey has worked in both Formula One and IndyCar racing as a race engineer, aerodynamicist, designer and technical director and enjoyed success in both categories.

Mauro Forghieri was an Italian mechanical engineer, best known for his work as a Formula One racing car designer with Scuderia Ferrari during the 1960s and 1970s. He is credited with introducing the first designed rear wings to Formula One at the 1968 Belgian Grand Prix. He oversaw numerous technical developments during his tenure at Ferrari, including the creation of the 250 GTO and P-series sports racing cars, the Ferrari flat-12 series of engines, Ferrari's first turbocharged engine in the 126 C F1 car, and a prototype semi-automatic transmission in 1979. During Forghieri's tenure with Ferrari, the company won the F1 World Driver's Championship four times and the F1 World Constructors' Championship seven times. After leaving Ferrari in 1987, he worked at Lamborghini and Bugatti then founded the Oral Engineering Group in 1995.
Mark Andrew Preston is an Australian businessman and motorsport professional. He is currently the Team Principal of the Techeetah Formula E racing team, and CEO of StreetDrone.
Michael Coughlan is a British motor racing engineer and designer. He was Chief Designer for the McLaren Formula One team from 2002 to 2007, where he was suspended for his part in the spygate scandal between McLaren and Ferrari, before his contract was subsequently terminated. He was then Chief Technical Officer for Williams F1 from June 2011 to July 2013, before abruptly stepping down "with immediate effect," according to the team.

Patrick Allen Lowe FREng, known as Paddy Lowe, is the founder and CEO of the fossil-free synthetic fuel company Zero. A former motor racing engineer and computer scientist, he spent 32 years working in Formula One, serving as Chief Technical Officer at Williams Racing, Executive Director (Technical) at Mercedes Formula One team and Technical Director at McLaren. He was involved with cars that won 12 World Championships and secured 158 race wins. He left Formula One in 2019 and co-founded Zero in 2020.
Pat Fry is a British motorsports engineer. Primarily working in Formula One, he has previously held positions with the Alpine, McLaren, Ferrari, Manor Racing, and Benetton teams. As of 2023, Fry is the Chief Technical Officer for Williams Grand Prix Engineering.
