The Emblem of Tripura is the official seal of the government of the Indian state of Tripura. It was initially proposed in October 2024 and approved on 7 January 2025. [1] [2] Previously the state used the national emblem of India for official purposes.
The emblem depicts the national emblem superimposed over a map of the state within an orange roundel.
The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council adopted a distinct emblem in 2024.

National Socialist Party of Tripura is a political party in the Indian state of Tripura. NSPT was formed when Hirendra Tripura and others broke away from the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura in the summer of 2003. One of the principal leaders of INPT, Shyamcharan Tripura, took the side of NSPT. With the help of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) members in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), the NSPT were quickly able to win control of the TTAADC.
The Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra was a political party in the Indian state of Tripura. Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl was the president of the party. It merged with the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Alliance (TIPRA) party on 11 June 2021.

Animesh Debbarma is an Indian politician and senior leader of the Tipra Motha Party. Currently, he is a cabinet minister in the second Manik Saha Ministry. He served as the 13th Leader of the Opposition of Tripura Legislative Assembly from 24 March 2023 to 6 March 2024. He was also the Deputy Chief Executive Member of TTAADC but resigned when he won the 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election.
Pradyot Manikya Deb Barma is the current titular King (Maharaja) and statesman from Tripura. He was born in New Delhi, and now resides in Agartala, Tripura. He also served as the editor of TNT-The Northeast Today. He is the current chairman of The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance also known as TIPRA Motha. He is known as 'Bubagra' among his people and is one of the active voices for the rights of Indigenous Tripuri people of Tripura.
The Tripuri calendar is the traditional solar calendar used by the Tripuri people, especially in the context of Tripuri irredentism. Its era, the "Twipra Era", "Tripura Era" or Tripurabda is set at 15 April AD 590.
Elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) were held on 3 May 2010. On that day elections were held for 27 of the 28 elected seats in the Autonomous District Council. In one seat (Maharani-Chellagong) the election was countermanded, following the death of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Ranjit Jamatia. 25 of the 28 elected seats in the Autonomous District Council are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) is a regional political party in Tripura, India. It is a member of the National Democratic Alliance and North-East Democratic Alliance. The party was merged into the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) in 2001, However diverged out in 2009. The party is allied with BJP in the 2018 Tripura Legislative Assembly election and won eight seats out of eight contested seats. The party got 7.5% of the total votes polled. The BJP got 36 seats and with a total of 44 seats the BJP-IPFT coalition have two-thirds majority at the Legislative Assembly.
The politics of Tripura, a state in Northeast India, has been dominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Indian National Congress, the Tipra Motha Party, the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura and the Trinamool Congress. As of 2020, the Bharatiya Janata Party is the ruling party in the states's legislative assembly and also won the two parliamentary constituencies in 2019 Indian general election.
The Left Front is a political alliance in the Indian state of Tripura. The Left Front governed Tripura 1978–1988, and again from 1993 to 2018. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) is the dominant party in the coalition. The other members of the Left Front are the Communist Party of India, the Revolutionary Socialist Party, and the All India Forward Bloc.
Radha Charan Debbarma is an Indian politician who served as the Chief Executive Member of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council from May 2015 to May 2020. He is a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the current General Secretary of GMP the tribal wing of the party. Debbarma was Executive Member of TTAADC from 2005 to 2015. Debbarma's term expired on 17 May 2020 and following the postponement of elections a result of the global coronavirus pandemic, TTAADC is currently under Governor's rule.
2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly elections were held on 16 February 2023 to elect all 60 members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the results were declared on 2 March 2023.
