History

There was a club named Lapaloma and was founded by Vavá Duarte. Its started in the Second Division in the late 1990s and played in the Premier Division in the early to mid 2000s and was later relegated and played in the Second Division. In 2014, Eugénio Lima took over and the club finished second for the 2014-15 season and together with Delta qualified into the regional Second Division for the 2015-16 season, the season was the first with an extended 22 match season. Its coach for that season was Ángula, he went to coach Vitória da Praia the following season. Their first win was on November 20 where they defeated Os Garridos 1-2 and their last win was over GD Varanda on May 1 with the score 1-2. The last match of the season was horrible for the club where they lost to the mighty Sporting Praia 0-7 and was the region's worst match of the season. Eugénio Lima finished 8th with 20 points and had 5 wins and draws and 19 goals scored. The 2016-17 season was less successful for the club. The first match of the season was a loss to almighty Sporting. The club's first win of the season came on November 19 where they defeated the ailing historic club Vitória 1-0, a second consecutive win was followed there they defeated Os Garridos 0-2. On February 5, 2017, Eugénio Lima suffered a seven match losing streak. Unusual to Eugénio Lima, a scoreless draw was made with almighty Sporting at the 12th round. Two more wins came, between was a goal draw with Os Garridos, a win over Vitória and then the unusual, a win over Praia's top three club Travadores on March 10 and was the club's last win of the season. The last round of the season suffered a six match losing streak, that time the club was placed up to the 50/50 zone in relegation or promotion until an April 30 goal draw between Celtic and Os Garridos kept their appearance in the Premier Division for the 2017-18 season. The club finished 10th with 16 points and four wins and draws, the club scored 14 goals and comceded 29 goals. Also in the regional cup, the club headed up to the quarterfinals where they lost 2-1 to almighty Sporting Praia.

The club started off the 2017-18 season with a loss to ADESBA. On November 11, they defeated Tchadense and is their recent win. Their position was above the two last but the club challenged against last placed Ribeira Grande which resulted in a 1-3 loss, and their season was a little worst as the club was put into last place, this slimmed their chance of remaining in the Premier Division. Their December 21 match with the mighty Académica was delayed as no police showed up at the stadium, their match was rescheduled for January 10. On December 30, Eugénio Lima suffered the worst as they lost 0-6 to the powerful Boavista, now it is the second worst match in the region for the season. A two-goal draw with Desportivo was made on January 7, then a loss to Benfica Praia and another to Bairro, Tchadense and now their fourth straight to Celtic. Eugénio Lima conceded 27 goals at the 11th round and later 34 at the 14th round, the worst in the Premier Division. Eugénio Lima could not have a chance to escape the last two positions for two more rounds, their chances of remaining in the Premier Division slimmed. Eugénio Lima suffered their fifth straight loss as they lost again to the newcomer Tira Chapéu and their participation continues to slim and may likely continue, they will be last place up to round 16 and inside the relegation zone up to round 17.
