Cades Cove is an isolated valley located in the Tennessee section of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The valley was home to numerous settlers before the formation of the national park. Cades Cove, the single most popular destination for visitors to the park, attracts more than two million visitors annually because of its well preserved homesteads, scenic mountain views, and abundant display of wildlife. The Cades Cove Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

First Baptist Church of Painted Post is a historic Baptist church located at Painted Post in Steuben County, New York. The church was originally built in 1860 and expanded and remodeled in 1915 by architects Pierce & Bickford after a fire destroyed the mid-19th century building's tower and spire. The three-part church consists of the main block—a 40-foot-wide (12 m), 60-foot-deep (18 m), gable-roofed edifice built in 1860 and now containing the sanctuary; the front wing—a 40-foot-wide (12 m), 12-foot-deep (3.7 m) addition built in 1915 and now containing the foyer and narthex; and a noncontributing rear addition. The front wing features two massive square corner towers surmounted by louvered bell towers and bell curved roofs.
First Baptist Church of Weedsport is a historic Baptist church located at Weedsport in Cayuga County, New York. It is a masonry structure built in 1870 that substantially modified a meetinghouse built in 1839 and enlarged in 1854. The main block retains the core of the earlier building. The church, which consists of the L-shaped main block, an engaged bell tower, and a hyphen linking the rear of the church to the Fellowship Building, was constructed of load bearing brick walls above a limestone foundation. The building displays an eclectic mix of Romanesque Revival and Renaissance Revival styles.

The Oconaluftee Baptist Church, also known as the Smokemont Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, near Cherokee, North Carolina. It is located off United States Route 441, overlooking the Smokemont Campground of the park. It is a basically rectangular wood-frame structure, 30 feet (9.1 m) wide and 50 feet (15 m) deep. The church's tower projects from the front of this main block, and rises about 10 feet (3.0 m) above the level of the gable roof; it does not have a spire or steeple, and its uppermost section is a louvered belfry. This church building was built in 1912 for a congregation organized in 1836. The congregation's records form a valuable documentation of local history. The church remained in active use until the area was made part of the national park in 1935, and has seen occasional use since then.

Hill, a tailor turned carpenter/builder. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

A historically African American Baptist church, it was built in the Gothic Revival style in 1894 and known for its association with the Civil Rights Movement. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
First Baptist Church is a historic church in Garden City, Minnesota, United States. The town, along the Watonwan River, was originally established in 1856 as Fremont. A Baptist congregation was formed in the community in 1858, and eight years later, the church was formally organized. In 1867, the membership split amidst a disagreement between members who wanted a more aggressive evangelical mission and members who wanted the status quo. One of the groups moved ahead with plans to build a church, contracting for the delivery of logs to a nearby sawmill. The sawmill was unable to receive the logs before winter came, though, and the logs were washed away in spring flooding.

The Emmett Presbyterian Church, also known as Emmett First Southern Baptist Church, is a historic formerly Presbyterian church building at 2nd Street in Emmett, Idaho. It was started in 1909 in a late-Gothic Revival style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
The Park-to-Park Residential Historic District in Fort Madison, Iowa, United States, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. The historic district is located to the north of the Downtown Commercial Historic District, generally between Central Park on the west and Old Settler's Park on the east. Both parks are contributing sites. For the most part the district is made up of single family homes built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Some of these homes were built as rental properties, while others became so in later years. The Albright House and the Chief Justice Joseph M. Beck House are contributing properties, and they are also individually listed on the National Register. There are also duplexes and a few small scale apartment buildings in the district.

John K. Dow (1861-1961) was an American architect. He designed the NRHP-listed Coolidge–Rising House, the NRHP-listed Grace Baptist Church, and the NRHP-listed Empire State Building. With Loren L. Rand, he designed the NRHP-listed Bump Block-Bellevue House-Hawthorne Hotel. With Clarence Z. Hubbell, he designed the NRHP-listed Hutton Building. They also designed Van Doren Hall and the Veterinary Science Building on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.
