The EP contains three new songs, as well as live renditions of "Make Me Wanna Die" and "Since You're Gone"—originally included on the band's debut studio album, Light Me Up (2010)—which were recorded at London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 4 and 5, 2011.

It was released on July 30, 2013, through Prospect Park. Pre-orders for the album started on iTunes on June 18, 2013. The album debuted in the United States Billboard 200 charts at No. 2, their highest chart position in that country, with 113,000 copies sold. Volume 2 and Got Your Six would eventually tie this chart record. The album has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of at least 1,000,000 copies. The album was entirely produced by Kevin Churko and Five Finger Death Punch.

5 Seconds of Summer is the debut studio album by Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. It was released by Capitol Records on 27 June 2014 in Europe and on 22 July 2014 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The album was supported by four singles: "She Looks So Perfect", "Don't Stop", "Amnesia", and "Good Girls". Musically, the album is rooted in the pop-punk, pop-rock and power-pop genres. Before the album's release, the band was the opening act for One Direction in from 2013-2015 on three of their concert tours. To promote the album, 5 Seconds of Summer embarked on their first global headlining tour, entitled Rock Out with Your Socks Out Tour, between May and September 2015.

LiveSOS is the first live album by Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, which was released on 15 December 2014. The album consists of 14 live tracks from the band's debut album 5 Seconds of Summer, and EP She Looks So Perfect, and a studio mix of "What I Like About You". There are also two bonus tracks, a live version of "Don't Stop" and Kiss Me Kiss Me as iTunes and Target exclusives respectively. To promote the album, the studio version of "What I Like About You" will be serviced to contemporary hit radio in December 2014 as the lead single from LiveSOS. It was nominated at the 2015 ARIA Music Awards for Best Group, but lost to Tame Impala for Currents.

It was serviced to active rock radio in the United States on November 18, 2014, serving as the album's fifth and final single. The track's intro features former pornographic actress Jenna Haze, a close friend of Momsen's, simulating an orgasm, which was removed from the radio edit.

Death by Rock and Roll is the fourth studio album by American rock band the Pretty Reckless, released on February 12, 2021. It is the band's first album released with their new label, Fearless Records, and is also the band's first album since the death of their long-time producer, Kato Khandwala in 2018. The album was produced by Jonathan Wyman, vocalist Taylor Momsen, and guitarist Ben Phillips, along with additional production done by Nate Yacchichino. The album was preceded by two singles: "Death by Rock and Roll" and "And So It Went" featuring Tom Morello. There were also two promotional singles released prior to the album: "Broomsticks" and "25".
