The governor of Albay (Filipino : Punong Lalawigan ng Albay; Central Bikol : Gobernador kan Albay) is the chief executive of the provincial government of Albay, Philippines. Like all local government heads in the Philippines, the governor is elected via popular vote, and may not be elected for a fourth consecutive term (although the former governor may return to office after an interval of one term). In case of death, resignation or incapacity, the vice governor becomes the governor.
The current governor is Edcel Greco Lagman, who has been assuming the post since 2022 through the line of succession. He previously served as provincial vice-governor (2019–2022).

In the Philippines, provinces are one of its primary political and administrative divisions. There are 82 provinces at present, which are further subdivided into component cities and municipalities. The local government units in the National Capital Region, as well as independent cities, are independent of any provincial government. Each province is governed by an elected legislature called the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and an elected governor.
Jose Ma. Clemente "Joey" Sarte Salceda is a Filipino statesman and the current Representative of Albay's 2nd District in the Philippine House of Representatives. He previously served as governor of Albay province in the Philippines for three terms. Prior to that, he was a three-year term representative of the Third District of Albay and was appointed as Presidential Chief of Staff on February 10, 2007, after the resignation of Michael Defensor, before he himself resigned on March 29, 2007, to pursue his gubernatorial bid in his province. Salceda has also been chairman of the powerful House Committee on Ways and Means since 2019. Salceda is the principal author of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law, the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Law, which reduced corporate income taxes in the Philippines to 20%, and the Free College Tuition Law.
Luisa "Banti" Lloren Cuaresma is a Filipina politician who currently serves as the representative of the lone district of Nueva Vizcaya since 2016. Previously, she served as governor of Nueva Vizcaya from 2004 until 2013 and vice-governor from 1998 until 2004. She is the province's fourth female governor.
Edcel Castelar Lagman Sr. is a Filipino human rights lawyer and politician from the province of Albay. He was elected as a member of the House in 1987 to 1998 and 2004 to 2013 and 2016 up to the present. He served as Minority Floor Leader of the House of Representatives of the Philippines until 2012, when he resigned the office. Lagman is one of the key Liberal Party figures in the House of Representatives, having supported the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act, the SOGIE Equality Bill, the Free Tertiary Education Act, the Anti-Dynasty Bill, and the Freedom of Information Bill. He is also the principal author of the Divorce Bill, the Human Rights Defenders Bill, the Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy Bill, and the Anti-Child Marriage Bill.
The Albay Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Philippine province of Albay.
Juanito Victor "Jonvic" Catibayan Remulla Jr. is a Filipino politician who has served as the secretary of the Interior and Local Government of the Philippines since 2024. He previously served as the governor of Cavite from 2019 to 2024 and from 2010 to 2016, and had previously served as vice governor and as a member of the Cavite Provincial Board. He is a son of former governor Juanito Remulla Sr. and sibling of fellow politicians Gilbert and Jesus Crispin Remulla.
Noel Ebriega Rosal is a Filipino businessman and politician served as the governor of Albay in 2022. He previously served as mayor of Legazpi from 2001 to 2010, and again from 2013 to 2022.
Al Francis C. Bichara is a Filipino politician and former provincial governor of Albay in the Bicol Region of the Philippines from 1995 to 2004 and again from 2016 to 2022.
Albay local elections were held on May 13, 2019, as part of the 2019 Philippine general election. Voters selected their candidates of choice for all local positions: municipal or city mayor, vice mayor and councilors, as well as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the vice-governor, governor and representatives for the three districts of Albay in the House of Representatives. These elections were held following the first-past-the-post voting system, in which the candidate with the highest number of votes is elected.
Ramil Laurel Hernandez is a Filipino politician from Calamba, Laguna. He currently serves as the Governor of Laguna since 2014. He previously served as Sanguniang Kabataan Chairman of Barangay Mabato in Calamba, Laguna, a councilor of Calamba, a board member, and Vice Governor of Laguna. He was elevated to Governor following the disqualification of E.R. Ejercito in 2014. He was first elected as Governor in 2016 and was re-elected in 2019 and 2022.

He currently serves as a Governor of Nueva Ecija. He was a governor for three terms from 2007 to 2016 and was re-elected in 2019.
Joseph Chua Cua is a Filipino politician from the province of Catanduanes, Philippines. He currently serves as a Governor of Catanduanes. He was first elected as Governor of the province in 2007 and he was re-elected in the 2010, 2016, and 2019 elections.
Tomas Noriel Joson III was a Filipino politician. He served as a Governor of Nueva Ecija, Philippines for one term from 1992 to 1995, and was re-elected for another three terms from 1998 to 2007.
